30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 566

Not far away, Leonora had just left work when she spotted Taylor's car parked nearby. The thought of all the intense back-and-forth between them made her feel exhausted. Sighing in resignation, she walked over to his car and got into the passenger seat.

Seeing her, Taylor handed over a cup of iced tea. He had gotten it from a colleague in the secretary's office on his way out. Normally, he would've never taken it, but knowing Leonora’s fondness for such drinks, he accepted it. Unconsciously, his life had become intertwined with hers. No matter what he was doing, she was always on his mind. Even when Kitty tried to flirt with him, his first thought was of Leonora.

In the past, he never felt so committed to anyone. Seeing the iced tea, Leonora took it from him, her mind already bracing for whatever excuse Taylor might come up with. She was ready for a showdown. Taylor, sensing she might be a bit calmer than the night before, felt a slight relief.

Ruffling her hair, he said, "Sweetheart, I'm sorry for making you feel bad yesterday." He didn't want to bring up Kitty, fearing it might make things worse. Despite his gentle demeanor, Leonora brushed his hand away. "Taylor, you can't keep doing this. I'm not a child, you can't just smooth things over every time."

Taylor, trying to lighten the mood, said, "Aren't you just my little three-year-old Isaac? Come on, no more anger, okay?" He avoided mentioning her meeting with Grant, knowing it could escalate things. He decided to wait until she was in a better mood to address it properly.

Still upset, Leonora sighed heavily. "Taylor, this is really pointless, and you shouldn’t have to do this." Seeing she was still fuming, Taylor started the car. "Looks like you really want to hash this out today. Alright, let's head back to Southbay and talk properly."

The car's cramped space wasn't ideal for an argument, and it wasn't appropriate to cause a scene at the company's entrance. Once back at Southbay, she could vent however she wanted. If he couldn't calm her down, maybe a good night's sleep would. After all, the old saying goes, "A couple's quarrel is resolved by bedtime."

Hearing Taylor's words, Leonora turned her face towards the window, ignoring him. She knew his tactics but wasn't willing to let it go so easily today. After all, they had only reconciled recently, and Taylor was already showing signs of restlessness. If this was going to be the pattern, she found it exhausting.

Twenty minutes later, they parked in the underground garage. Taylor got out and opened the passenger door for Leonora, leading her out. Soon, they were home. Leonora placed the iced tea on a side table and sat down on the shoe bench by the door. Seeing her, Taylor couldn't help but laugh. He pulled up a chair and sat beside her, gently touching her face. "What, you don't even want to come inside? Just going to sit here?"
