30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 564

Until his anger started to fade, he realized he had been a bit too flirtatious with Kitty these past few days. He hadn’t handled her advances properly, and that was on him.

At midnight, Taylor glanced up at Leonora's room, wondering if that carefree woman was even able to sleep.

Snap! He tossed the half-smoked cigarette onto the ground and picked up his phone, which he had thrown in frustration earlier. He sent Leonora a message on Messenger: "Babe, I'm still downstairs. If you've calmed down, come down and let's talk face to face."

Upstairs, Leonora hadn't fallen asleep. Even if she usually brushed things off, arguing with Taylor like that had left her restless. Hearing the message notification, she reached for her phone, saw it was from Taylor, and immediately tossed it aside, choosing not to respond.

She thought to herself that she had always been too lenient with Taylor, which was why he took her for granted and didn't consider her rest. She decided not to message him back or talk to him today. After all, there wasn't much to discuss. Just a few days ago, she had told him that if there was someone else, if he didn't want to be with her, all he had to do was tell her, and she wouldn't cling to him. Yet, she ended up feeling like a fool.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. Leonora turned over in bed, turning her back to her phone as if it were Taylor, showing him her temper. She tossed and turned until the sky slowly brightened, finally closing her eyes out of sheer exhaustion. But then, not long after, her alarm went off, and she had to get up.

When she left for work in the morning, her parents had already gone to the university. Leonora got herself ready and went downstairs, immediately noticing Taylor's car parked outside. For a moment, Leonora's steps halted. She stood at the entrance of the building for a while until Taylor got out of the car and walked towards her, prompting her to start moving in his direction.

Taylor looked somewhat weary, having not gone back and spent the entire night in his car without closing his eyes. Approaching Leonora and seeing that she didn't speak, Taylor didn’t say anything either, simply taking her bag and then leading her to his car. As Taylor opened the passenger door for her, Leonora bent down to get into the car. Shortly after, Taylor also got in.

The first thing he did was take Leonora's phone out of her bag. Seeing that she hadn't responded to his message from last night, Taylor looked at her and said, "You didn't sleep well last night, saw the message, right?"

Without waiting for Leonora to speak, he continued, "Making me wait all night downstairs, Arielle, have you calmed down now?"

Trying to appease her, Leonora slowly exhaled and said, "Let's go to the office first. We can talk after work." She had spent the previous afternoon making useless copies for Kitty, and she still had two reports to submit at noon today. She needed to focus on work first.

Hearing Leonora's words, Taylor agreed, "Okay, then we'll head back to Southbay after work."

Leonora didn’t respond. She didn’t want to give Taylor the cold shoulder; she did want to be happy whenever she saw him, but some of his actions really made it hard to be pleased. Thus, the two didn't bring up Kitty or discuss the matter any further on their way, and as they neared the subway entrance, Taylor, as requested, let Leonora out early.
