30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 561

Holding the documents Kitty handed her, Leonora felt the weight but still asked politely, “Mr. Jason, when do you need these by?”

“Before 5 o’clock.”

“Alright, Mr. Jason.”

Agreeing to the task, Leonora carried the documents downstairs, grateful that Geoffery hadn’t given her any major projects lately. Her workload was manageable; otherwise, she wouldn’t have had time to make all these copies.

Carefully returning to her office floor, Leonora headed straight to the copy room. Kitty’s request was both large and urgent, leaving Leonora without even a moment to grab lunch, busy as she was with photocopying.

That was just her way – once she started a task, she had to see it through before she could relax or even think about eating.

In the afternoon, with everyone’s workload lightening up, the copy room and break room became prime spots for gossip and sneaky breaks.

With over a dozen copiers, Leonora was using two in the corner, while her colleagues took turns with the rest.

At that moment, while Leonora was about two-thirds done with her copying, two women entered the room.

They casually photocopied their documents while gossiping, “Have you heard? The Chief Secretary from Champion Corp has been working here lately. Some folks from the secretarial department saw her sitting on Mr. Samuel’s lap this morning, looking quite cozy in his office.”

“That’s the hot topic in our chat groups. She’s so bold, confessing her feelings for Taylor right in front of everyone.”

“It seems Mr. Taylor’s quite fond of her too. Looks like he’s about to be swept off his feet.”

“Keeping her working here must mean something. I’d say they’re practically an item. Plus, I’ve heard Miss Lu comes from a well-respected family, a perfect match for Mr. Samuel.”

Mr. Samuel, they were referring to Taylor.

Engrossed in their chatter, they paid no mind to Leonora.

Perhaps in their view, sharing the gossip with Leonora was doing her a favor, giving her an earful of juicy news about Taylor.

In her corner by the copier, Leonora’s expression subtly changed upon overhearing their conversation.

The Chief Secretary of Elite Corporation? Taylor had feelings for her?

Why hadn’t she heard of this woman or seen her around Taylor?

Yet, if what they said was true, it wouldn’t stay hidden for long.

Thinking this, Leonora had no reason to dwell further, as it wouldn’t change anything about Taylor's thoughts.

Thus, while her colleagues gossiped, Leonora continued with her copying.

But the mention of their relationship left a bitter taste in her mouth.

By almost 5 o’clock, Leonora finally finished copying the documents Kitty had requested.

She had hoped to find a cart to transport them all at once to the secretarial department but ended up making several trips upstairs due to the lack of one.
