30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 560

Kitty’s “compliment” made Taylor catch her wrist with a smile. “Ms. Kitty, you’re giving me too much credit. I’m getting old, can’t play these games anymore. I've turned over a new leaf.”

Kitty's eyes narrowed slightly. Seriously? Early thirties and he’s claiming to be old? This was peak time for a man, and here he was, saying he was past it?

With her right hand gently clenched into a fist, Kitty gave Taylor a sly smile. “Come on, Taylor, you’re no fun if you act like this.”

She hadn’t planned on anything long-term with Taylor, just a brief fling to fulfill a long-held desire from over a decade ago.

Taylor’s evasions and excuses were starting to annoy Kitty. Now, she wanted to meet the woman who had supposedly reformed him.

Their eyes met, and Taylor let go of Kitty’s hand. “Kitty, if you want to talk business, I’m all ears. Anything else, and I’ll have to pass.”

Back when he was with Ava, he could resist her advances. He was confident he could do the same now.

Or so he thought.

With a calm demeanor, Kitty stood up, pushed him into the chair, straddled him, and placed her hands on his shoulders. “What if I insist?”

“Kitty, you’re smart. You wouldn’t want to push my limits.”

As she played with his shirt, letting her fingertips graze his skin, she said, “Taylor, you’re acting. Pretending to be the good guy.”

“But you and I, we’re not good people. It’s just a bit of fun, why take it so seriously?”

To say Taylor had no reaction would be a lie. He was, after all, a red-blooded man in his prime.

His hands moved to her waist, gently pushing her back a bit.

Kitty smirked and moved closer.

Taylor looked up at her.

Satisfied, Kitty leaned into his ear and whispered, “You’re not completely uninterested. The new always seems more enticing than the old.”

Just as Kitty finished speaking, the office door suddenly burst open and the new secretary rushed in. “Mr. Taylor, the documents you...”

He froze, face turning bright red at the sight before him. “Sorry, Mr. Taylor. I didn’t mean to,” he stammered, backing out and shutting the door quickly.

Kitty turned to look, still with her hands on Taylor’s shoulders, and giggled. “Your secretary is hilarious. A grown man blushing like that? Seems you really have reformed, even affecting those around you.”

Feeling triumphant, Kitty said, “But even so, Taylor, I’ll still get you. I’ll still have you.”

Leaning back in, she added seductively, “I want you to want me, to the point where you can’t resist.”

She was so close as she spoke, her chest pressing against his.

Taylor gave her a meaningful smile. “Oh? Let’s see if you’ve got what it takes.”

Kitty smiled brightly, lifting herself off him. “Back to work. We’ll continue this later.”
