30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 537

When Leonora decided it was over, she didn't hesitate. She walked away without looking back. I even asked her again that day if she was sure about it.

"She was firm and clear," Taylor recounted, frustration and a sense of injustice coloring his tone. From his perspective, their relationship had been tough on him.

He had forgotten why he initially approached Leonora, lost in the act he had been playing.

"Seeing Mr. Taylor so worked up and upset is a rare sight," Grayson's friend said with a grin, like he was witnessing something legendary.

Taylor continued to drink in silence.

Grayson then asked, "How did you meet Leonora?"

"She was Grant’s girlfriend."

...

Everyone looked at Taylor with a mix of expressions.

After a pause, Grayson, with a sarcastic smile, said, "Well, you can't really blame her. If I'm not mistaken, she was probably pressured into being with you at the start."

"Now that Grant is back, it makes sense she'd feel awkward and want to break things off with you."

"She's a decent girl, and the fault lies with you, not her."

Taylor's face darkened. "How long was she with Grant? How long were we together?"

"It's not about the length of time," Grayson replied, ending the conversation.

Seeing Taylor stuck on the matter, Jason advised, "Taylor, stop thinking about winning or losing. Consider what you truly want and what you can offer her."

"If you're serious about marriage, sincerely apologize and clarify your stance. Don’t repeat the mistakes Estrella and I made, missing out on so many years. If it's just a grudge against Grant, then don't hurt the girl. She's not like the others you've known; don't make her suffer."

Having met Leonora once, they all saw her as a good match for marriage.

This prompted them to earnestly advise Taylor, something they wouldn't do for his past girlfriends.

Taylor stayed silent, stubbornly not wanting to yield this time.

He couldn't believe that Ava's appearance and words that day could affect his relationship with Leonora, thinking it was just an excuse on her part.

So, he held his ground, only showing his true feelings among friends.

It wasn't until the early hours, when Jason had to leave, that the gathering dispersed.

As usual, Taylor had his driver take him to Southbay.

Though Leonora wasn't there anymore, she had spent a lot of time there. The room still carried her scent, her presence.

More importantly, Taylor had grown accustomed to coming to Southbay, accustomed to missing her.

---

Meanwhile, Leonora had been taking the medication prescribed by the doctor since returning from the hospital, still on leave from work.

It wasn't until a week later, feeling somewhat better, that she returned to the office.
