30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 534

After saying that, she spun on her heel, opened the door, and left.

Inside, Taylor watched her go, then turned his back to her in silence. If she came, he could welcome her. But if she left? Sorry, he wouldn't see her out.

As the elevator descended, Leonora's mind buzzed with Ava's words. Thinking about how Taylor had taken advantage of her when she was drunk made her seethe with rage. Her eyes reddened with anger, but no tears would fall. It was all in the past now. Taylor's revenge on Grant had just been a mix-up, and she had just been a pawn in their game.

Ding! The elevator doors opened, and Leonora stepped out without a backward glance. She had no fond memories of this place and didn't want any. Right now, all she could remember about Taylor was how he bullied and used her.

Suppressing her anger, she stormed out of the building, her face clouded with fury. Just then, a sleek black Maybach pulled up beside her, blocking her way. She turned to see Taylor behind the wheel. Their eyes met, and with a stern face, he said, "I brought you here, so I'll take you back." To avoid any misunderstanding, he quickly added, "Don't worry, I promised to make things right for you. I won't make it difficult."

Taylor was still fuming from her earlier words. So now, his tone was firm, not the gentle one she was used to, and he had no intention of reconciling. Even so, he had come down to make sure she got home safely, worried her mood might lead to trouble on the road.

Hearing him, Leonora didn't get in the car. Instead, she tried to walk around it. Taylor, his temper barely in check, said, "Leonora, I don't lack women to sleep with. I don't need to shamelessly pester you. Get in the car." With that, he reversed, blocking her path again.

Taylor's arrogance made Leonora's head throb with anger. Knowing he could keep this up until dawn if she didn't comply, she glared at him furiously but finally reached for the rear door. After a few unsuccessful tugs, she was about to ask what he meant when he spoke up first. "No one's driving for you. Sit in the front."

Glaring at him, she thought this was their last struggle. Swallowing her anger, she got into the front seat. Once inside, she turned her head away, refusing to look at him. Taylor, not bothered by her coldness, focused on driving her home safely.

As they passed a traffic light, he took a longer route. His anger slowly subsided, and he began to understand her earlier outburst. If he were in her shoes, he might have beaten himself up too. After a long silence, he quietly asked, "Leonora, are you sure about this? Sure you want to break up?"
