30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 522

Taylor brought up the topic of having kids again, and Leonora lay still on the bed, barely daring to breathe. Right now, she realized Taylor had been plotting all along, slowly boxing her in. First, he asked for some time, and now he was talking about children. Why was he so set on having kids with her, especially when she wasn't on board?

Seeing Leonora lying there without moving or responding, Taylor lifted his hand and lightly squeezed the back of her neck. "Leonora, I'm talking to you."

Faced with Taylor’s questioning, Leonora slowly got up from the bed, deftly changing the subject. "It's getting late; I should head back."

Leaving Taylor without a clear answer, Leonora felt this was the best response she could give. She had made her stance clear to Taylor long ago; she wouldn't have children with him.

As Leonora got dressed to leave, Taylor grabbed her hand and pulled her into his embrace. Finding herself in his arms, Leonora placed her hands against his chest. "I really need to go."

Just as she finished speaking, her phone rang. It was her mother. Glancing at Taylor, Leonora bent down to pick up the phone.

Before she could even speak, Shania was already talking on the other end. "Leonora, why have you been running out so much lately? Can't you stand being at home? You need to..."

Before Shania could finish, Leonora interrupted her, "I'm coming back, I'm on my way home now. I'll be there in half an hour."

She quickly hung up the phone. Otherwise, if Taylor made a snide remark, she'd be unable to clear her name even if she jumped into the Thames.

After hanging up, Leonora looked at Taylor with an innocent expression, as if to say, I wasn’t lying; my mom is rushing me, I really need to go home.

Seeing Leonora's innocent look, Taylor smiled and then got up to dress as well. Shortly after, as they were ready to leave, Taylor gathered all the gifts he had brought back for Leonora from his business trip. Despite not giving her an official title, he was good to Leonora in every other way.

On their way back, the night view of Ravenwood was still bustling. As they occasionally admired the outside view, Leonora couldn’t help but think about the entanglement between her, Taylor, and Grant. Grant was so kind-hearted and frail; what could have caused such enmity between him and Taylor that he sought revenge in this manner? That evening, Ellory had forgotten to explain it to her.

With this thought, Leonora turned to Taylor and earnestly asked, “Taylor, what exactly is the feud between you and Grant, and why am I involved?”

After pondering for a moment, Taylor glanced at Leonora, smiling as he said, “Grant and I have been rivals since childhood, competing for everything. Over the years, it’s become a habit.”

Taylor didn’t mention Ava; it was a topic that could hurt. Besides, at this point, he felt that what he and Leonora had was no longer related to anyone else, especially Ava.

Leonora felt he wasn’t telling the whole truth, but if Taylor was unwilling to be honest, there was nothing she could do about it. With a slight frown, she complained, “I’m being wronged.”
