30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 521

At first, it was Arielle who suffered, forced into a relationship with Taylor. Now, however, she found herself inexplicably burdened with a heavy psychological pressure, afraid of facing Grant. It felt like she had betrayed Grant, like she owed him an apology.

Taylor looked down at Arielle, who lay deep in thought in his arms. Wrapping an arm around her shoulders, his fingers gently caressed her skin as he asked, "Arielle, we haven't seen each other for a week. Is there anything you want to tell me?"

That week had been torturous for Taylor, knowing Arielle had met with Grant. But even though he was deeply concerned about this, Taylor never showed his annoyance. He treated her as lovingly as ever, spoiling her as usual.

Hearing Taylor's question, Arielle looked up at him, then nuzzled her face into his chest without saying a word. Her slightly coquettish behavior made Taylor's heart melt, though he still pressed, "Hmm?"

Seeing his persistence, Arielle finally said, "You already know. Why do you still ask?"

Taylor, with his strong self-esteem and suspicions, would never just let her meet with Grant at Ravenwood and not care. He surely knew about their whereabouts. He knew about their meeting that day. But since he was abroad, discussing it with her seemed pointless, which is why he never brought it up.

Arielle understood Taylor quite well. Responding nonchalantly, Taylor kissed her forehead, "I want to hear you say it."

Not wanting to make a big deal out of it, Arielle moved closer, resting on his shoulder, "We did meet."

"It was after work, at the office entrance. He wanted to talk, so I got into his car. He apologized for leaving without a word back then, for hiding his identity. When I was leaving, Ellory stopped me."

"She told me Grant's sudden disappearance was due to an illness, not intentional. She hoped I wouldn't hold it against him."

"I said I didn't blame him and told Ellory to persuade him, to let the past be the past and to live well from now on."

Arielle then glanced at Taylor, "That's all. After that, I had dinner with Joselyn."

Arielle was not lying; that was the entirety of their meeting, and Taylor was aware of it.

"I called you every day, we video-chatted, why didn't you tell me sooner?"

Arielle averted her gaze, playing with his pajama shirt, "You were in that far-off, godforsaken place. Why would I bring it up? Plus, it's hard to explain over the phone. In case we didn't communicate well and ended up arguing, it could affect your work, your earnings."

Taylor laughed at her explanation, capturing her hand and gently kneading it, "So, you were considering my feelings after all?"

"Of course, that's part of it."

Knowing what Taylor wanted to hear, Arielle went along with him, not entirely lying. After she finished, Arielle looked up at Taylor again.

She asked, "Taylor, you knew about Grant's illness all along, didn't you? You knew he left Ravenwood suddenly because he was sick, right? Why didn't you ever tell me?"

They had known each other for two years. He had approached her because of Grant, yet rarely mentioned him, let alone his illness.
