30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 517

Even though Grant's car was tucked away in a hidden spot, Taylor still managed to spot it.

"Ah, still waiting this late? Looks like he still has feelings for Leonora. If I hadn't been here, he would've come looking for her by now," Taylor thought as he watched through the rearview mirror.

He knew he had to keep a close watch on Leonora, not giving Grant any opportunity to get close to her. After a long stare at Grant’s car through the mirror, Taylor shifted his gaze and started the car to leave.

But the memory of Grant's sudden illness and subsequent coma, which led to him being sent abroad for treatment, gnawed at Taylor's mind. This unease made him even more determined to keep Grant and Leonora apart.

Leonora's soft heart would melt if she found out that Grant had vanished due to health reasons. She wouldn’t blame him; instead, she'd forgive him. And that was something Taylor couldn't afford.

In the days that followed, Taylor stuck to Leonora like glue, even picking her up from her place each morning to head to the office together. Their bond seemed stronger and more intimate than most official couples.

That evening, after a cozy time spent at Southbay, Taylor drove her home. With one hand on the steering wheel and the other holding hers, he suddenly said, "Leonora, when you get back, pack your things. You're coming with me on a business trip tomorrow."

Taylor couldn't bear to be away from her, so he proposed she join him on the trip. But Leonora didn’t even pause to think before she flat-out refused, "Join you on a business trip? No way."

She was already on edge about their secret relationship being discovered. Taylor should've known she wouldn't agree to such a suggestion.

"Only Blake and a few execs will be there, no one else," he tried to persuade her. The trip would last a week, and the thought of not seeing Leonora every day was unbearable for Taylor.

Leonora frowned. "Taylor, don’t make this difficult for me. I promise, while you're away, I'll go straight home after work. I won't go anywhere or meet anyone, except for Joselyn."

Taylor's motives were transparent to her. He feared she'd reconnect with Grant in his absence.

Such distrust. Did he think so little of her?

Seeing her make that promise, Taylor couldn't help but smile. It wasn’t just about Grant; he genuinely wanted to be with her every day.

So, holding her hand tighter, he smiled and said, "What are you thinking about? I’m just used to being with you."

Leonora turned to him, skeptical and unwilling to believe his words. If he was being honest, when would they ever clarify their relationship?

She remained silent as Taylor simply smiled, ending the conversation there.

As they neared her place, Leonora reminded, "It's early today. Drop me off at the intersection ahead; I don't want to run into my parents."

Taylor was displeased with her secrecy but knew he couldn't promise her anything long-term. So, he stopped at the intersection she pointed out.

Turning off the engine, he looked at her and said, "This feels like an affair."

Unbuckling her seatbelt, Leonora replied nonchalantly, "It is an affair, isn't it?"
