30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 505

Taylor and Grant, both single and around the same age, found themselves at yet another family dinner where the conversation inevitably turned to marriage.

Halfway through the meal, Keith broke the ice, “Grant, now that you’re back, it’s time to settle down. And Taylor, you're in the same boat.”

Aunt Martha jumped in, “Exactly! Having two bachelors in the family doesn’t sound great. Taylor, remember the girl your mom mentioned? You should meet her.”

As soon as Keith and Aunt Martha started, everyone else chimed in, each suggesting potential partners for the two.

Taylor, unfazed by the talk, casually said, “Grandpa, I already have a girlfriend. Maybe focus on Uncle Grant instead.”

Keith’s brows shot up, “I know you’re never short of girlfriends, but is this serious? Are you planning to marry her? If not, it doesn’t count.”

Taylor, known for his carefree attitude, reassured with a grin, “If it wasn’t serious, would I even bring it up at home? Don’t worry.”

Relieved by Taylor’s assurance, Keith relaxed. Everyone knew Taylor wouldn’t mention marriage unless he meant it.

Carrie, excited by Taylor’s admission, added eagerly, “Dad, Taylor’s serious this time. The girl’s name is Arielle. I’ve seen her picture; you’ll definitely approve. We’ve been discussing inviting her over for dinner and then planning a formal proposal.”

With Taylor’s confirmation and Carrie’s enthusiasm, Keith expressed his joy with a triple “Good, good, good.”

The conversation shifted to celebrating Taylor’s upcoming wedding, with everyone eager for the festivities.

Across the table, Grant felt a pang hearing Arielle’s name, shooting a glance at Taylor.

Taylor, truly shameless.

As the focus turned to Grant, Amber teased, “Grant, look at Taylor—he’s younger and your junior. Don’t fall too far behind.”

Grant, with a sideways glance at Taylor, turned to Amber, “Mom, I have a girlfriend too. No need to worry.”

Before anyone could react, Taylor, ever the quick wit, said with a smile, “Oh? Uncle Grant has a girlfriend too? What a coincidence.” He then suggested, “How about Uncle Grant and Aunt Sophie join Arielle and me for dinner this Saturday?”

Without waiting for Grant’s reply, Taylor added playfully, “Surely, Uncle Grant’s girlfriend doesn’t share the same name as my fiancée, right?”

Grant, keeping his cool, accepted, “Alright, we’ll meet this Saturday. Just make sure your fiancée shows up.”

The underlying challenge in Grant’s words was clear: who Arielle would ultimately choose was still up in the air.

Taylor, forcing a smile, assured, “Don’t worry, Uncle. My fiancée won’t miss it.”

Their cryptic exchange left everyone else puzzled but hopeful that the dinner meant a truce, letting bygones be bygones.
