30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 482

Let the storm rage on then, let it hit with all its fury. Let Taylor's fire burn everything to the ground, including whatever was left of their relationship. Leonora was dead set on not letting Taylor wring every last drop of worth out of her, not letting him have his way.

With words that cut like a knife, Leonora's casual tone struck right at Taylor's heart again.

In that moment, Taylor could see it as clear as day: Leonora wanted out. She wanted to wash her hands of him entirely.

Staring at Leonora longer than he should have, Taylor found himself too drained to even muster up any anger.

After a beat, Taylor said in an indifferent tone, "Fine, Leonora. If you want to call it quits, I’ll let you have your way."

If she wanted out, so be it! He was tired of it all, anyway.

Mulling it over, Taylor added, "I'll let you have your way."

Normally, Taylor wasn't this petty. But today, Leonora had just pushed him too far.

Twice Taylor agreed to let her go, and as Leonora's heavy eyelids finally closed, the weight that had been hanging over her heart lifted.

Unwilling to stay in a place that brought her nothing but humiliation, unwilling to see Taylor again, Leonora struggled to get up from the bed after lying there for a while.

Watching her arms tremble as she picked up her clothes, nearly falling as her legs hit the floor, Taylor instinctively wanted to help her. But remembering her stubbornness, he turned away, no longer caring to approach.

However, as Leonora limped out of the bedroom, Taylor followed her out.

Reaching the parking garage, Taylor opened the car door for her.

The entire ride, Leonora didn’t speak, and Taylor, hands clenched on the steering wheel, stayed silent too.

Leonora was in a foul mood, and Taylor wasn't feeling any better.

When the car stopped in front of Leonora's apartment, she walked away without looking back. Taylor watched her leave, then drove off with a press on the gas.

She wanted to cut ties, and he wasn't about to play chauffeur in the middle of the night.

Besides, it's not like he was lacking in female company or someone to share his bed with.

Not long after climbing up three flights of stairs, legs weak, Leonora returned home, her face pale as if she were seriously ill.

Her mom, seeing her state, rushed over, "Arielle, didn’t you say you were out shopping with coworkers? You look terrible."

Leonora, her arm supported by Shania, quickly withdrew her hand, fearing her mother might notice the marks on her body. "Mom, I’m fine. Just tired from shopping. I’ll be okay after some rest."

"Arielle, are you sure there’s nothing wrong? Your dad and I can take you to the hospital."

Leonora, barely making it to her room, insisted weakly, "Mom, I’m fine. Just let me rest. I’ll be better in the morning."

After closing the door, Leonora had never treated her mother this way before, but she was truly exhausted, both physically and emotionally.

All she wanted was to get some sleep.

So, without even bothering to take a shower, Leonora collapsed on her bed.

Shivering, her limbs still trembling, her whole body ached.

But the thought of finally breaking free from Taylor gave Leonora a sense of relief.

She didn’t like Taylor, not one bit. Joselyn was wrong; she wasn’t sad at all.
