30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 477

If anything happened to her, he knew he wouldn’t survive.

Barefoot, he darted through each bathroom, feeling a wave of relief when he saw the windows were shut. Taylor then continued his frantic search outside.

As he entered the living room, a sound from the dining area caught his ear. Turning, he saw Leonora at the table, happily indulging in a feast.

She had reheated last night’s leftovers, laid out a fruit platter, cake, and poured herself a glass of milk.

Seeing Leonora so content, Taylor couldn’t help but laugh, a mix of frustration and relief bubbling up.

“Leonora, you scared me to death,” he thought.

Noticing him, Leonora, cheeks puffed out, looked up innocently and explained, “I got hungry and started without you. You were sleeping so deeply, I didn’t want to wake you.”

Hearing her, Taylor walked over, lifted her from the chair, and pulled her into a tight embrace.

Resting his chin on her shoulder, he murmured, “Leonora, you’re my everything. I can’t lose you.”

Taylor didn’t confess how anxious and scared he’d been, fearing she might do something drastic.

In all his life, he’d never been so terrified of losing someone.

Though he’d had his fair share of girlfriends, none stirred the whirlwind of emotions Leonora did.

It was as if he had been heartless before her.

Surprised by Taylor’s sudden hug, Leonora was puzzled. She hadn’t done anything noteworthy, hadn’t argued or mentioned breaking up.

Had he had a nightmare?

That thought made her smirk inwardly, thinking how childish he was.

After a while, Leonora glanced at the table, then back at Taylor, “The food’s getting cold.”

Taylor was speechless. All she cared about was the meal.

Gazing down at her, he was about to say something when she suddenly turned serious, “You must be hungry too, right? Come, have some breakfast.”

Her invitation to eat softened Taylor’s expression, a hint of a smile appearing at his eyes’ corners.

Having lived together for two years, this was the first time Leonora had shown concern for him.

Pushing her hair behind her ear, Taylor said, “I’ll freshen up; you start without me.”

“Okay.”

As Taylor went to wash up, Leonora hurried to reheat the meal, realizing she hadn’t prepared breakfast for him.

She knew well enough that if there was nothing ready by the time he returned, she’d never hear the end of it.

This was his house, and she needed to tread lightly.

Soon after, Taylor, now dressed, found the warmed dishes waiting for him.

Afterward, they spent the entire day indoors. Despite Leonora’s wish to go out, Taylor preferred staying in, holding her, touching her, and kissing her throughout the day.
