Estrella nodded, agreeing to Jason's plan. Jason cupped her face in his hands and kissed her. “There’s my good girl,” he murmured.
“Good girl” was a nickname Jason had given her when they were kids. Back then, no matter what Jason proposed, Estrella would always say, “Sure.”
Teasingly, Estrella pinched Jason’s side. “You’re so full of yourself.”
After a bit of playful banter, Estrella grabbed her clothes and headed to the bathroom for a shower. She firmly declined Jason’s offer to join her and even kicked him out when he tried to insist.
Under the warm cascade of the shower, Estrella found herself reminiscing about their childhood memories. She looked down at her flat belly, remembering how she used to sneak powdered milk with Jason keeping a lookout.
All those memories brought a smile to her face. Despite the years and all they’d been through, they had ended up together.
After her shower, Estrella returned to the bedroom and saw Jason had also finished his shower. Seeing her lounging on the bed, Jason couldn’t help but smile.
With a playful glint in her eye, Estrella said, “Jason, why does being pregnant make me even less behaved and more... interested?”
Jason burst into laughter at her words. “You little rogue, keep it in check.”
As he sat down beside her, Estrella wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him down onto the bed, pinning him beneath her. “Once you’re in my bed, you’re not getting away that easily,” she declared with a smirk.
“Estrella, you’re a damn warrior; I’m terrified,” Jason joked. Normally, he would have playfully turned the tables on her, but with a baby on the way, he was extra cautious.
Admiring Jason’s handsome features, Estrella teased, “If you were any less attractive, I might not have ended up with you.”
Feigning offense, Jason quickly flipped their positions, trapping her in his embrace. “Everyone gets old. You planning on trading me in?”
His mock possessiveness only made Estrella hug him tighter. “Never. I’d never trade you for the world.”
Their banter ended with a tender kiss, their affection glowing as brightly as the moonlight streaming through the window.

The next morning, Estrella woke up to a lavish breakfast prepared by Jason, much to Kristin’s mock indignation for taking over her duties.
Throughout breakfast, Jason’s phone kept buzzing with calls. After finishing one, Estrella suggested, “Go handle your business. You’ll just be bored sitting here with me. Plus, it’s better you go earn some money for Isaac and little Isaac’s baby formula.”
“Besides, mom’s here, so you don’t have to worry about me.”
Jason laughed at her comment about earning baby formula money. He did have important matters to attend to, so after breakfast, he headed off to work, reminding Estrella to take it easy at home and promising to return as soon as he could.
