After some aimless chatter, they headed back upstairs.

The bedroom offered a serene escape, instantly dividing the upstairs tranquility from the downstairs buzz. Estrella's mind finally found peace.

As soon as the door closed, Jason wrapped his arms around her from behind, whispering, "Babe, I've missed you so much."

Turning to him, with his chin resting on her shoulder and that puppy-dog look in his eyes, Estrella teased, "In the realm of clinginess, you're second to none."

Jason, unfazed, hugged her tighter, his entire being radiating happiness.

As Jason played the cute card, Estrella gently touched his face, marveling at the fact that she was pregnant with another Isaac. She never imagined she'd have another child, let alone with Jason.

With her soft touch on his face, Jason murmured, "Honey, I love you."

Estrella couldn't help but laugh. "Enough already!" she said, then added, "Jason, imagine what people would say if they saw you like this?"

Jason, still holding her close, nuzzled his face against hers. "Who cares what others think? You're all that matters to me."

Estrella, holding his wrists, turned to face him, “Stop calling me your wife! We're not even officially married, and this baby, Isaac, he's mine too."

They hadn't even had a proposal or a wedding banquet yet, so she wasn’t about to agree to anything!

Jason, still embracing her, responded with a gentle nuzzle, “If not my wife, then whose could you be?”

Estrella laughed it off, not wanting to argue further. But the thought of another Isaac on the way filled her with emotion. What made her happy was that this time, she didn’t have to hide anything. Jason was right by her side.

After resting and cuddling for a bit, Kristin called them down for dinner.

Usually, Kristin would dine with Marie and the others, but today, with Jason and Estrella home, she prepared a feast as if it were a holiday celebration.

Once seated, Kristin’s gaze swiftly shifted towards Jason. “Jason, Estrella’s expecting again, and you still have some important things to sort out.”

Despite the joy of another baby on the way, Kristin was concerned because they hadn’t yet made their marriage official or had a wedding. She wouldn’t feel at ease until those were sorted.

Jason, catching her drift, reassured, “Mom, I’ve got everything planned. Don’t worry.”

Kristin, slightly appeased, served Estrella more food, “Estrella’s nearly 30, and I’m more anxious than she is.”

Jason served Kristin some barbecued ribs, “Mom, trust me, everything’s under control.”

He had been surprised that his casual comment at First Mansion had turned out to be accurate. With Estrella’s pregnancy, Keith had to be somewhat considerate. Their child was indeed a timely blessing.

“As long as you have a plan,” Kristin said, continuing to fill Estrella’s plate, “Eat up, you need to now more than ever.”
