Seeing Jason carefully supporting Estrella, Kristin immediately dropped what she was doing and rushed over to help, her voice full of concern, "Estrella, honey, are you feeling alright?"
Estrella had been overworked and fainted a while back, landing herself in the hospital, which had Kristin worrying more than usual now.
In the midst of her concern, Jason calmly reassured, "Mom, Estrella's fine, she's not feeling unwell. She's pregnant."
As soon as Jason's words hit the air, Kristin, who was helping Estrella walk, suddenly froze, her expression locked in surprise.
Estrella and Jason stopped in their tracks too, seeing Kristin's reaction.
Realizing why they'd stopped, Kristin snapped back to reality, her eyes widening in amazement, "Does this mean, I'm going to be a grandma again?"
Her excitement was palpable even before they could respond. She then turned to Jason, almost scolding, "Jason, why on earth didn't you tell me the moment you walked in? Here I was, worried sick that Estrella might be ill."
After saying this, she became even more cautious around Estrella, cautioning, "Estrella, dear, walk slowly, watch out for these cobblestones."
Kristin remembered vividly how Estrella had tripped in their yard five years ago.
Both Kristin's carefulness and her joy made Jason smile too.
"I did want to tell you, Mom. Just needed a chance to speak first," he joked.
Then Kristin, ever so concerned, asked, "Estrella, how are you feeling? Any morning sickness? Anything you can't stand the smell of, or anything you're craving?"
As the family of three walked towards the villa, Estrella, sandwiched between Jason and Kristin, felt like royalty.
"I'm doing okay for now, no severe reactions yet," Estrella assured.
That opened the floodgates for Kristin, who then bombarded Estrella with a slew of pregnancy advice and cautions, emphasizing how tough pregnancy can be and reminding Jason to take good care of her.
Estrella and Jason just went along with whatever she said, happy to see her so thrilled.
Once inside, Kristin didn't waste a moment, instructing Marie, "Marie, can you prepare some fruits for Estrella?"
"And some snacks too."
"Oh, and I saw some lobster in the kitchen this morning. Make sure to tell Wilson not to cook any seafood, okay?"
"Do we have any nuts?"
"And..."
Kristin's flurry of instructions had Estrella in stitches, while Jason played the doting husband, asking if she fancied this or that, even massaging her neck and legs.
Their bustling activity filled the house with warmth and laughter, much like a holiday celebration, with the staff getting caught up in the excitement too.
In that moment, Estrella felt a wave of warmth, finally understanding the freedom Jesse yearned for.
On the couch, Estrella finally got a quiet moment with Kristin and Jason no longer fussing around. "Mom, you don't need to be so stressed. Just treat it like any other day," she suggested.
"How can I?" Kristin's voice rose in disbelief. "This isn't like any other day. There's a little one on the way!"
After insisting on the importance, Kristin decided to call Landon, "Hey Landon, just letting you know, Estrella's pregnant. I need to stay here to take care of her, so I won't be back for a while."
"Yes, Estrella's expecting again. They just got back from the hospital."
"You keep busy with work; I've got things covered here."
"Alright, I'll let you go, bye."
After hanging up, Kristin immediately called Autumn, "Autumn, just heard from the hospital."
