30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 421

Angel wasn't too fussed about her own stuff; she had it under control. But when it came to other people's business, she couldn't always guess their thoughts.

When she asked Grayson about his blind date this Saturday, he frowned slightly. Sure, it was time to deal with personal matters, but the idea of getting to know someone new, meeting their family, and going through all the personality adjustments gave him a headache. He'd rather be buried in work than wade into that mess.

Naturally, he wouldn't share these thoughts with Angel. Instead, he said, "Angel, you don't need to worry about my stuff. My uncle has it all planned out. The most important thing for you right now is your studies."

In Grayson's eyes, Angel was still just a kid. Even though she had turned 18 a few months ago, she was still a child to him.

"Oh." Angel felt a bit disappointed as Grayson didn't directly address her question. When would her uncle stop treating her like a child and see her as an equal? If only time could move faster, if only she could be a couple of years older.

Angel's silence didn't raise any red flags for Grayson. After all, she wasn't usually very talkative. Soon, they arrived at the school gates, and Grayson told her a driver would pick her up that evening before letting her go into the school.

With both hands on the steering wheel, he watched Angel, in her school uniform, get swallowed up by the crowd before driving off to Axis Technology. He had a meeting with Jason today.

After discussing work over lunch, they found themselves at a nearby diner. Sitting across from each other, Grayson asked Jason about his plans with Estrella. Jason mentioned they were waiting to speak with Keith to finalize things. Then, he turned the question on Grayson, asking if he had moved on from Summer or if he was still holding onto the past.

Grayson chuckled. "It's been years. What's there to hold onto? Besides, she has her own life now. It's just that being single for so long has become a habit, and I'm not keen on changing it."

Grayson wasn't joking. The single life indeed had its comforts. Jason suggested, "If you're thinking about marriage and kids, sooner is better than later, for both you and the kids."

Grayson laughed at Jason's newfound wisdom. "Two years away has really changed you, giving out advice now." He paused, then added, "I'll try."

After their meal, Grayson headed back to his company, and Jason returned to his office. As soon as Jason walked into his office, Drew knocked and entered, reporting, "BOSS, Keith is here. He arrived last night and is asking if you have time this afternoon."

Keith hadn't contacted Jason directly but had his assistant reach out to Drew. In his heart, the less he spoke to Jason, the longer he believed he would live. So, unless absolutely necessary, he preferred not to engage with Jason.
