30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 405

The next morning, Estrella woke up to find Isaac already awake, clutching at her feet just like he did when he was a kid, watching her with a serious look on his face.

"Morning, kiddo!" she said, ruffling Isaac's hair.

Blinking her eyes open, she took in her surroundings and was speechless. She had carelessly fallen asleep at Jason's place.

"Mom, it was my fault for not waking you up last night," Isaac said guiltily.

"Mom, you look so pretty when you're asleep."

They chatted softly in bed until Jason walked in, "Up and at 'em? Breakfast is ready."

Seeing Jason with an apron still tied around his waist, Estrella stretched lazily and got out of bed, quickly getting ready to head to the dining room with Isaac.

It had been two years, but Jason's cooking skills had slightly improved. He prepared a hearty breakfast of an omelet with a side of sandwiches for them, which Isaac devoured with delight.

He seemed quite pleased with his dad.

After breakfast, Isaac mentioned he wanted to visit the aquarium, and Jason agreed, cleaning up the kitchen before they all headed out.

Estrella had accumulated more vacation time due to her last hospital stay.

It wasn't until after nine in the evening that Jason dropped her and Isaac back home.

Though they hadn't explicitly gotten back together, Jason found contentment and happiness in being around Isaac and Estrella.

Estrella, on the other hand, hadn't gone on any dates since that night's conversation. Her life continued to revolve around work and her son, as simple as before.

The following day, the launch party for Axis Technology went ahead as planned. The who's who of Ravenwood attended, including Cole and Landon, making the event quite lively, with major news outlets covering the story.

After the launch party, life returned to its usual pace. Estrella and Jason continued to interact like friends, co-parenting Isaac.

Jason was attentive and caring towards Estrella, often meeting up without broaching the subject of their relationship.

However, as long as Jason didn't bring up leaving, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Kristin occasionally stayed at his place, helping out with his day-to-day needs.

One evening, as Estrella was about to discuss some business with Cole, she overheard him on the phone with Landon in the study.

"Don't worry, Tianyang. These things take time. We'll find what we're looking for. A person can't just vanish into thin air."

"Trust me, Jason's reasonable. We'll decide on what to do once we find the person."

"Dad," Estrella called out, knocking on the door. Cole quickly ended the call and opened the study door. "Estrella, you're up late. What's on your mind?"

"I remembered something I wanted to discuss with you."

"Alright."

After talking business, Cole stood up to see Estrella out. "Oh, Dad, I'll be a bit late to Hector's birthday party on Saturday. I have a meeting with Mr. Dill but go ahead with Mom and Isaac."
