30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 374

Estrella was all business today, rocking a sleek black dress that screamed professional. Drew stood up to greet her, and she walked over with a confident stride, her smile as bright as ever. "Drew, congrats on tying the knot. I've sent a little something over for you and Serene."

Drew was genuinely surprised and touched by the gesture, quickly expressing his gratitude. "Thank you, Ms. Estrella."

Estrella always had a knack for knowing exactly what to say and do.

With a slight chuckle at Drew's polite reply, Estrella ordered a coffee from the approaching waiter before turning her attention back to Drew, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Does Jason know you're meeting with me? Did he give his blessing for you to be his spokesperson?"

She had anticipated Drew's move even before his call the previous night, especially after Serene had sought her out at the resort. It seemed the newlyweds had discussed things and decided to approach her.

Drew couldn’t help but admire Estrella's sharpness, complimenting her on her insight.

Estrella took a sip of her coffee, crossed her legs elegantly, and with a smile, she urged, "Let's hear it then. How can I help you smooth things over for your boss?"

She was always open to hearing people out, giving them the freedom to express themselves without judgment.

Taking her directness as a cue, Drew handed over the documents he brought with him and got straight to the point. "Two years ago, when I left Nelson International to join the boss, he had already unraveled a thirty-year-old mystery."

"The founding chairperson, Ms. Estrella, and Mr. Hans had started a venture together, but then faced significant financial trouble, leading to potential massive compensations and legal consequences."

"The case caused quite a stir back then, with the amount involved being particularly shocking."

"As the investigation progressed, the blame was suddenly pinned solely on Mr. Hans and the CFO, Ms. Paloma, who is also the boss's biological mother."

"They tried to flee before arrest warrants could be issued but tragically died in a car accident shortly after the boss was born."

As Drew paused, his gaze fixed on Estrella, she was already flipping through the evidence he had provided. Looking up, she spoke calmly, "My father and Landon made Hans and Paloma take the fall. The couple died during their escape, and riddled with guilt, Landon took Jason in."

Drew nodded in affirmation.

Estrella felt a heavy sense of sorrow as she set the documents down. "So, it's not direct, but indirect involvement."
