30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 359

Autumn's heart was heavy, her emotions raw and palpable. Estrella pulled her into a warm embrace. "Mom, you'll always be my mom. Even if I wasn't born to you and Dad, you've raised me all these years. You are my parents, through and through. And I'll always be here for you."

Estrella's comforting words shattered Autumn's defenses, and she broke down in tears. "Estrella, I'm so sorry! I never thought my actions would drag you and Isaac into this mess. I'm so, so sorry!"

If she had known marrying Cole would bring such turmoil, she would have never gone through with it, despite her deep love for him—a love so profound she would have given her life for him.

Now, Autumn was drowning in guilt. She regretted not only the burden her decisions had placed on her daughter and son-in-law but also on Isaac. She felt remorse for the harsh words she had thrown at Estrella at the factory, forbidding her from calling her 'mom'.

Estrella gently patted her back, trying to soothe her. "Mom, none of this is your fault. Catrina is the one who's stuck in the past, unable to appreciate the happiness right in front of her."

Autumn nodded vigorously, but her guilt lingered.

In comforting Autumn, Estrella reflected on the irony of Catrina's plans. She hadn't anticipated that Jason wasn't Cole's child, making her leverage over him useless.

Thinking of Jason, who was outside chatting with Grayson, Estrella felt a pang of longing.

After opening up to each other and seeing that Estrella wasn't dwelling on the past incident, Autumn felt a wave of relief wash over her.

She had harbored a secret she had planned to take to her grave, but Catrina's sudden action and the ensuing crisis had forced her hand.

The next morning, after arranging for Autumn to be driven home to rest, Estrella stayed vigilantly by Isaac's bedside.

Jason, noticing Estrella's exhaustion, gently suggested, "You should get some rest. I'll call you as soon as Isaac wakes up."

Estrella, her gaze fixed on her son, replied, "I'm not tired. I want to stay with him a bit longer."

Respecting her wishes, Jason stayed quietly by their side.

Around nine, as the doctor came to administer IV fluids, Estrella, unable to fight the fatigue any longer, dozed off holding Isaac's hand.

Jason gently disentangled Isaac's hand from Estrella's and carefully lifted her onto a nearby cot, tenderly kissing her forehead before stepping back.

After a restful sleep, Estrella woke to find Isaac, now alert and wearing a cozy onesie brought from home by Autumn, his forehead adorned with a fever patch, giggling beside her.

The sight of Isaac awake brought an immediate smile to Estrella's face. She caressed his cheek and asked if he felt any pain or discomfort.

Isaac, eager not to worry his mother, responded with a kiss and shook his head, despite feeling weak and uncomfortable all over.

Estrella, heart aching at the sight of her son's blisters, kept her hand on his cheek, comforting him until he snuggled into her embrace to sleep.
