30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 335

After bumping into Jason earlier, Holly couldn’t bring herself to leave. She stood there, her gaze fixed on Jason and his family. Catrina noticed, feeling a storm of emotions swirl inside her.

With a heavy heart, Holly turned away and caught sight of her mother’s teary eyes. “Mom, I’m okay. It’s all in the past. I don’t care about Jason anymore,” she reassured her.

To ease her mom’s worries, Holly turned away and told the driver, “Devin, let’s go.”

She had wanted to steal one last glance, but fearing it might stir up trouble, Holly reluctantly chose to leave.

As the car slowly pulled away, Holly’s gaze still drifted back to Jason and Estrella, while Catrina kept watching them through the rearview mirror. That happiness, which could have been her daughter’s, now seemed snatched away by Estrella.

But no! To be fair, it wasn’t Estrella who had crafted this outcome any longer.

As they drove further away, Holly finally turned her gaze away, her eyes reddening with unshed tears. If guilt could be assigned, Holly’s only fault was loving Jason, a love that had lasted many years.

She wondered if Jason would ever learn of her innocence, would he feel a sting of compassion, maybe even a flicker of affection for her?

Meanwhile, Isaac had just been discharged from the hospital, and Serene was notified she could leave too. Estrella and Erik went to pick her up. Despite still feeling weak, Serene’s first act after getting discharged was to return the house Holly had given her. She also asked about a pink diamond necklace Jason had once given her, wondering if she could do whatever she wished with it.

Jason told her it was hers to decide.

So, Serene sold the necklace, getting a higher price than its original cost, and used the money to buy a new, fully furnished apartment near Vincent’s school. She moved in with Vincent and her mother.

On moving day, she invited Estrella, Jason, Drew, and Erik over for dinner.

After dinner, while chatting with Estrella on the balcony, Serene admitted, “Estrella, I’ve dealt with the necklace. I’m done chasing unrealistic dreams. You and Jason are truly meant for each other.”

Having faced death, Serene gained clarity on many things and understood herself better. Selling Jason’s necklace was her way of bidding farewell to her past illusions.

Estrella responded with a smile, “Well, if you ever need legal advice, you know where to find me.”

Serene quipped back, “Sure, maybe I’ll sue for more medical expenses.”

They both laughed, basking in the beauty of the moment. Erik and Bryce’s wedding was also drawing near.

Erik chose not to have a traditional send-off from the Manning family but instead from her grandmother’s home. Tori was furious, while Damita and Melinda stirred the pot, suggesting Erik didn’t hold her family in high regard.

Despite her anger, Tori couldn’t really do anything against Erik’s wishes, especially since Erik was marrying Bryce, and the Manning family was not to be trifled with.

In her room, Erik gazed at her wedding dress hanging outside the closet, feeling a whirlwind of emotions.

That night, Isaac and a couple of cousins fell asleep in her bed while Estrella kept her company.

Touching the pristine white dress, Erik mused, “Smokes, I never imagined I’d actually wear this thing.” Nor did she expect to marry Bryce.

Estrella chuckled, “Life’s full of surprises.”

Erik sighed, “I had hoped to have a joint wedding with you and Jason, but it didn’t work out.”

Estrella reassured her, “Our turn is coming soon.”
