30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 304

Erik folded his arms over his chest, staring at the vase. "This thing hit me on the head when I was a kid. Now, I'm taking it back so I can bang on it every day."

Bryce looked at him, speechless for a moment, then gave a thumbs up. "You're something else."

After instructing the driver to take the vase back for Erik, Bryce drove him home.

Ever since Erik turned eighteen, he had moved out and no longer lived with the Manning family.

Arriving at Erik's apartment building, Bryce parked the car and, as usual, headed upstairs with him.

But this time, something felt different once they were inside. The playful teasing was gone.

Erik kicked off his shoes and noticed Bryce standing awkwardly in the living room. "Have a seat! Put on a movie or something!"

Back in the day, they always had movie nights when they hung out.

"Sure!" Bryce replied, settling down and turning on the TV to one of his favorite movies, "A Knight's Tale."

Erik handed him a glass of water and sat down next to him.

"If you need me to come with you to your folks', just let me know when," Bryce said.

Erik, curling up on the couch, replied, "How about Friday? My dad will be home. I'll lay the groundwork, then you can come in, just like today."

"Sounds good."

After that, they fell into a comfortable silence, continuing to watch the movie.

The atmosphere was oddly quiet, the two sitting side by side. When Bryce accidentally brushed against Erik, Erik instinctively slapped his arm.

Bryce, visibly annoyed, turned to him. "Man, we're practically family. What's the big deal if I touch you?"

Erik looked away, embarrassed. "Forgot."

The silence returned, heavy and awkward, until Erik finally broke it. "Do you really not remember anything about that night?"

Bryce rubbed his nose. "Bits and pieces came back to me."

"And? How did it feel?"

"I don't remember."

Erik sighed in frustration. "Great, so between that and my lack of experience—aside from a couple of pecks from Isaac—I'm clueless. My first time, and I missed it."

Noticing Erik's disappointment, Bryce suggested, "Want to try again now?"

Erik's eyes widened. "You think it'll be different?"
