You Had Me, You Lost Me, You'll Never Find Me novel Chapter 47

The waiter expertly masked his sheer shock. Without asking a single question, he hurried off to fetch the order.

Hearing Sylvia's order, Hugo assumed she was bluffing. "Come on, stop messing around. Ten bottles will literally kill a guy."

Sylvia leaned back against the leather sofa, aggressively typing on her phone. "Did I say I was joking?"

Hugo let out a nasty scoff. "I'm not drinking it. What the hell are you going to do about it?"

With that, he arrogantly pulled a heavily made-up girl into his arms and slumped into the cushions, looking completely invincible and utterly defiant.

Sylvia didn't say a word. A moment later, she made another call and rattled off the room number. Seconds later, two massive, heavily built men pushed the door open. Spotting Sylvia, one of them asked, "Are you Ms. Harlow?"

Sylvia nodded, pointing dead at Hugo. "Pin him down."

Hugo's pupils dilated in absolute panic. "What the hell are you doing?!"

The two bouncers completely ignored his thrashing. One of them immediately wrenched Hugo's arms behind his back. The girl next to him shrieked and bolted out of the room.

Within seconds, a few waiters hauled in ten massive bottles of vodka.

Sylvia poured a glass and stalked over to Hugo. Hugo panicked. "You can't do this to me! I'm going to tell Mom!"

Sylvia gave a slight nod. The bouncer instantly clamped a hand around Hugo's jaw, forcing it open, and Sylvia poured the liquor straight down his throat.

After three viciously poured glasses, Hugo was choking and hacking, violently begging for mercy. "I'm sorry! I swear I'm sorry..."

Sylvia replied coldly, "Don't be shy. The drinks are on me tonight."

With that, she shoved the glass into the bouncer's hand and ordered him to keep pouring.

By the time an entire bottle had been forced down, Hugo was genuinely terrified. If he kept drinking, he was actually going to die.

Snot and tears streamed down his face as he slurred hysterically, "I'm sorry! Wahhh... I'm a total piece of trash! I never should have crossed you!"

In reality, the vodka was completely watered down. Sylvia had secretly texted the manager to dilute it drastically.

There was no way she was actually going to make him drink ten bottles of pure alcohol.

She was purely scaring the living daylights out of him.

Sylvia wasn't stupid enough to catch a murder charge over a parasite like him.

She treated him like he was just part of the furniture.

A dark sneer ghosted across Ashton's lips, and he remained equally silent.

Seeing the chaos resolved, Luke casually invited Sylvia to hang out. "It's been a minute! What have you been up to lately?"

Luke couldn't call her 'Sis' anymore, and he definitely didn't dare call her 'Sylv.' Having just witnessed her absolute savagery, he instinctively showed his respect.

Sylvia was busy firing off texts. Hearing him, she glanced up. "Give me a sec."

She was instructing the bouncers to lock Hugo in a cheap motel. Penelope Caldwell had found the muscle for her, which cost a small fortune. They were also tasked with escorting Hugo all the way back to the rural town where Valerie lived.

Because they had executed the job so flawlessly, Sylvia wired each of them a heavy bonus, demanding they keep an eye on Hugo for a little longer.

Ashton watched the woman typing furiously on her phone, utterly obsessed with whoever she was texting. He abruptly stood up and headed for the door.

"Ashton," Sylvia called out.

As if he had been waiting for that exact command, his footsteps slammed to a halt.
