You Had Me, You Lost Me, You'll Never Find Me novel Chapter 123

Sylvia's eyes widened in shock, entirely unprepared for the sheer cruelty of his words.

For a moment, it felt as if something sharp had violently pierced her chest.

By saying that, he was completely obliterating the three years she had genuinely loved him.

She wanted to scream that she hadn't, but his eyes were pools of indifferent ice.

"Every time he kisses you, I will do exactly this to you. Try me if you have the guts."

"Sylvia, you better remember this. In this life, I'm the one who plays people. Nobody plays me."

He seized her wrist, jerking her against his chest, gritting his teeth as he enunciated every single word.

"Unless I get tired of you first, don't even dream of living a peaceful life."

Her lips turned ashen, her breathing ragged and trembling. It felt like she was looking at a total stranger.

Perhaps, over those three years, she had never truly known him at all.

Back in the private room, Ashton pushed the door open, his hands casually shoved into his pockets.

The game was still in full swing. Reina stood up from her seat and hurried over. "Ash, I couldn't find you earlier. Where did you go?"

Ashton answered carelessly, "Found a quiet spot to smoke."

Luke Zane noticed his slightly rumpled collar, looking exactly as if someone had grabbed him by it. His lips were visibly swollen, too. Luke felt a surge of confusion but didn't dare say a word.

After all, Reina had just announced she couldn't find him.

It was painfully obvious how his mouth had gotten in that state.

As Ashton returned to his seat, he heard Julian Sterling calling Sylvia. He glanced toward them, his expression unreadable.

A little while later, Sylvia finally returned to the booth. Avoiding Ashton's direction completely, she walked straight over and sat next to Julian.

She looked completely normal, aside from her slightly swollen lips and red-rimmed eyes.

Knowing Ashton wouldn't budge if he didn't want to, Tristan backed off.

Reina swallowed her sharp disappointment, maintaining a quiet, perfectly composed smile as if she didn't care in the slightest.

Tristan pivoted. "Then... tell us when your last kiss was. And no lying! Lying ruins the fun."

Ashton crossed his legs, a lazy smirk playing on his lips. "My last kiss... man, I really can't remember..."

Yet his eyes remained firmly fixed on Sylvia.

Sylvia sat on pins and needles, a cold sweat breaking out on her palms. Sensing her extreme tension, Julian reached over and gently held her hand. "Are you okay? Do you want to leave early?"

Tristan jumped up, pointing a finger. "Don't play that card! I already let you slide on the first one!"

Sylvia shot a panicked glance at Ashton. He merely tugged at the corner of his mouth, watching her with a mocking half-smile.

He had just pinned her against a door and kissed her relentlessly. Her lips still throbbed with a numb, bruised ache.

The dark amusement in his eyes terrified her, leaving her utterly convinced he was about to expose them all.
