You Had Me, You Lost Me, You'll Never Find Me novel Chapter 114

There was an ice bucket near the sofa, and as they got closer, the temperature noticeably dropped.

Yasmine Sinclair glanced at Sylvia, wanting to sit down next to Ashton, but he merely looked at her with a half-smile. “You've been shooting for this long, and you're still not done?”

Yasmine's expression looked a bit strained, but figuring she could better flaunt her charm while shooting, she walked away.

In truth, she had already shot this set of photos countless times. Having been immersed in the entertainment industry since her teenage debut, she knew exactly how to strike a pose. She immediately threw out a few seductive looks and worked incredibly hard in front of the camera for over half an hour.

By the time she finished, Yasmine's back was drenched in sweat, but the unedited photos turned out stunning. The difference between her half-assing it and actually putting in effort was night and day.

However, when she finished and went to look for Ashton, she found him completely engrossed in talking to Sylvia. The tender, attentive way he looked at Sylvia stirred a wave of resentment in Yasmine.

She composed herself and walked over with a smile. “Ashton, I'm all done. Did you see me just now?”

Ashton looked up indifferently. “Did I?” Then he glanced at the backdrop. “That background looks terrible. Don't you think matte gray would photograph better?”

Yasmine looked at Ashton, noticing the smile lingering on his lips. It was a stark contrast to his earlier coldness, and she assumed it was because he was impressed by her performance.

Suppressing her excitement, she cast a sidelong glance at Sylvia, who was sitting there acting all high and mighty.

Sylvia was looking down at her phone, seemingly oblivious to their conversation.

Yasmine sneered inwardly. She's putting on such a pure and aloof act, but it's all fake. Why else would Ashton come looking for her?

What a cheap little tramp.

Yasmine was an exceptionally photogenic movie star. With natural beauty that was already an eight out of ten, she looked like a perfect ten on camera.

Even the photographer couldn't stop praising her. “Yasmine really lives up to her movie star status. Her screen presence is incredible.”

Yasmine raised an eyebrow triumphantly and glanced toward Ashton, only to see him leaning lazily against the woman beside him. He leaned in, trying to peek at Sylvia's phone, only for Sylvia to forcefully push his face away. Astonishingly, he wasn't angry at all; he was actually smiling brightly.

Yasmine's face instantly went pale. Since becoming famous, no one had ever spoken to her like this in public.

“What do you mean by that?”

Ashton looked right at her and enunciated every word clearly. “Don't you understand? You're not going to be in this magazine.”

Yasmine's expression turned incredibly ugly. He could have said this earlier or later, but he waited until she had completely finished shooting, making her bust her ass for nothing and slapping her in the face in the process.

The magazine's editor was caught in a massive headache. He absolutely couldn't afford to offend Ashton, but Yasmine was no pushover either. “Mr. Wyatt, this... isn't this a bit inappropriate?”

Ashton checked his watch. “Whether it's appropriate or not, take it up with my assistant. I have things to do. I'm leaving.”

Yasmine blocked Ashton's path. She had already teased her fans about appearing in this issue. If she got cut now, she would be completely humiliated.
