Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 98

Chapter 98
“Felicity, are you hum?” Noah asked in haste.
No, s**t Sherlock. Was her answer before the line went dead. He tried calling her again but her phone was switched off. very likely her battery died.
lan and Axel bombarded him with questions as soon as he placed his phone down.
“Is she alright!”
“Did that b***d touch her!” They asked simultaneously.
Noah didn’t give them an answer as he was still unsure. In less than ten minutes for a thirty-minute journey, they arrived at his estate. Everything was eerily silent, and the patrol guards were nowhere in sight.
They rushed inside while the remaining men behind them secured the perimeter to ensure there were no traces of Mr. Kor
his men
Noah found Felicity, unmoving, in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor. His heart s***ed a beat thinking something bad had happened to her. Ignoring the glass shards on the floor, he ran and squatted in front of her. “Felicity?” He shook her lightly
Felicity was feeling drowsy from blood loss. Hearing her name being called, she opened her eyes slowly.
Seeing Noah, the dam she had been trying to hold back finally broke loose. Tears slid down her eyes as she shakily muttered,
1c-called but you didn’t pick up
Her words were like knives stabbing through Noah’s heart. With red eyes, he apologised, “I know baby, I’m sorry. I’m very sorry” He closed his eyes briefly, attempting to rein in the overwhelming wave of relief, fear, and anger crashing over him. When he looked at her again, his heart clenched at the sight of her bloodstained clothes. “I’m here now. I’m not going anywhere, I promise.” He managed to say as he assessed her, his eyes roaming around her body.
When he saw her injured hand, he gently picked her from the floor, carrying her bridal style, “You’re hurt, I’ll take you to the hospital.” He tried to keep his tone steady, even as his hands shook slightly.
“No,” Felicity protested, trying to push Noah away as an inexplicable fear overcame her heart. What if she died again in the hospital because of her injuries? She thought, disregarding the fact that her injuries weren’t serious enough to kill her. “Call the doctor instead.” It was obvious that her head was clouded with fear.
Seeing the genuine scare in her eyes, Noah relented, instructing lan to call the doctor before taking her upstairs to tend to her wounds.
Felicity continued to cling to him, eyes half closed, even when he had set her down on the bed.
Noah’s heart ached tremendously watching her in such a vulnerable state. He swore in his heart that when he caught Mr. K. he would make him suffer.
While Noah attempted to clean her wounds, lan and Axel barged in with the am advanced man, the doctor, who was sweating as if he had run a marathon. They had yanked him from his work and dragged him there without any explanation.
Help her!” Noah growled at the doctor, his voice a mixture of desperation and fury. The man yelped, rushing over to Felicity on the bed. First, he took her temperature, which was high, and frowned when he saw her injured hand. Inspecting her wounds, he determined that she would need some stitches and immediately began preparations.
“I need some space to work,” The doctor told the three men in the room, clearly uncomfortable by their intense scrutiny.
“You have space,” Noah gestured around the space in the room, his eyes never leaving Felicity who was now completely

The doctol righrel, exasperated. “You guys already dragged me here against my will. I can’t work with you lot hovering over me You have to leave.”
Just do your f**g job!” Atel yelled his frustration and worry spilling over. The doct

won’t treat her unless you leave,” the doctor asserted, crossing his arms.
“The f**k!” Noah erupted, pulling out a gun and pointing it at the man. The old doctor’s eyes widened in fright as he stumbled backward.
“Noah, calm the f**k down!” lan stepped in front of him, trying to push the gun down. “Let’s go out and take a breath. Felicity will be alright.”
Yeah, man. Drop the gun, Axel tapped Noah’s shoulder, “Who would treat Felicity if you kill him? Let’s give the man space
to work”
Noah finally lowered the gun, allowing lan to lead him out of the room. But not before throwing the doctor one last death glare, a silent warning to take care of the woman he loved,
Axel followed them out, throwing a concerned glance over his shoulder as the doctor cautiously approached Felicity once
more.
Outside the room, Noah leaned against the wall, eyes squeezed shut as he tried to calm his racing heart.
“Noah, she’s alright,” Ian whispered to him soothingly, “She’s alright, man.”
not
Noah nodded, slowly piecing himself back up. He couldn’t break down, now when she needed him the most. He had to be strong for both of them.
“Thanks,” He gave lan a nod, standing up. He stormed downstairs where men were doing a full sweep over the whole house. He went outside to confront the men checking the perimeters. “What the f***k actually happened here?!” He exclaimed. “How could K enter my house like he lived here?”
One of the men stepped forward, “There weren’t any signs of forced entering. He probably had a key.”
“A key?” He repeated. Every lock in his house was specialised-one of a kind. They weren’t something anyone could get off the market. How could K possibly have a key?
But this was K they were talking about. He could break into the White House if he wanted. This revelation made Noah’s blood boil.
“That motherf****r is courting death.” He muttered, realising K must have sent someone to copy his lock beforehand. Noah had really let his guard down. “One for you, K.”
