Evening came and Felicity stood in front of the mirror, examining herself.
Her hair was held in an elegant messy bun. Her off-the-shoulder dress exposed her fair neck, allowing a clear view of the diamond necklace that sat on it, as well as the matching earrings on her ears.

Felicity, satisfied with her work, went to greet her father, who was conversing with some men from other families.
“Daddy, good evening,” She greeted and kissed her father’s cheeks.
Connor was taken aback by his daughter’s affection. Felicity had not kissed his cheeks in two years because he opposed her relationship with Caster. The girl was always mad at him for some reason.
So, he was overjoyed when Felicity kissed his cheeks as she had when she was a child. This daughter of his was changing for the better.
He laughed happily as he introduced Felicity to the men he was talking to, who turned out to be investors in his company.
Felicity smiled and greeted them warmly. As the future heir to the Orion group, she needed to make a good impression on them. These were the people she would work with after her dad retired.

Felicity was quite close to him when she was younger. He had one of the biggest malls in the city and he took her shopping often.

He had to admit that he was disappointed by previous rumours about her, but after seeing Felicity’s delicate nature in person, how could this be?

Georgia clenched her fists tightly when she heard this. She had spent the entire night sowing discord but just a word from Felicity turned the tables. She could even feel some suspicious stares of some socialites on her.
She needed to fix the situation before people thought badly about her.
Georgia rushed to Felicity and linked arms with her, “Sister, why don’t we join the other ladies and leave the men to their business?” She pulled Felicity to another table.
Felicity stared at the three familiar faces. Although she wasn’t close to the other families in the city and none of them wanted to be associated with her, growing up, her father made it mandatory for her to study the backgrounds of these people.

Felicity ymiled at Tiffany’s sincerity. Tiffany was a well-loved figure in the
entertainment industry for her impartiality. She was naturally gentle and treated everyone with an open mind, even those like Felicity.
Scarlet, on the other hand, Felicity wasn’t sure about. She was an ice queen, and difficult to read. All Felicity knew was that both actresses would go international within the next ten years so it would be better if she was acquainted with them.
She had no intention of getting close to Eliana though. A friend of Georgia was an enemy of hers.
