Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 81

Chapter 81
Felicity’s heart raced as Noah drew closer, her breath catching in her throat under his intent gaze,
Yes, we are.” She managed to stutter out, her voice wavering. But as memories of his actions that night resurfaced, she
you gritted her teeth, “And you can’t just act like nothing happened between us after what did.”
Noah’s face fell at her words, taking off his shades. The elevator doors opened, and Felicity swiftly exited with Noah trailing behind her. Thankfully, no one witnessed them entering the office together as everyone was still having lunch, including. Beatrice whose office was directly beside Felicity’s
In her office, Noah shut the door behind them before hugging Felicity from behind. “Please, forgive me.” He begged, burying his face into the crook of her neck.
“Let go of me,” Felicity tried to struggle out of his grip but he only held on tighter. “Your apology can’t reverse time, can it?”
“I didn’t mean to hurt you, I was only jealous.” He confessed, still holding on to her tightly.
Felicity paused, her curiosity piqued, “Jealous? And why would you be jealous?”
“I don’t know,” he admitted, hesitant to confess his growing feelings for her. “Seeing you with him just drove me mad. I should have given you a chance to explain yourself, and I’m sorry for not doing that. I’m sorry for judging you, but I do trust you, believe me.
Felicity paused, feeling a tug at her heartstrings. Slowly, she turned around to meet his gaze. His eyes were slightly red like he was on the verge of crying if she didn’t forgive him.
Sighing, she remarked, “Sometimes you behave more like a child than the overbearing CEO that you are.”
Noah just chuckled slightly in response, his gaze softening. She was the only one who had seen this side of him. He just couldn’t control himself around her.
“So, do you forgive me?”
Felicity raised her chin into the air and huffed, “It’s not going to be that easy. My forgiveness doesn’t come easy.”
“What do you want?” Noah was willing to do anything she said.
“What do you have to offer?” Felicity countered.
“I’ll do anything.”
“Then do everything. Felicity stated bluntly,
Her reply wasn’t surprising. Noah gazed at her fondly and simply nodded, “Okay.”
“Okay,” She nodded, “Now, you need to leave before lunch break is over. She instructed, pushing him towards the door.
Noah stopped her from pushing him further, pulling her closer to him, “I was really serious about that part of our agreement being ridiculous.”
It’s not. I can’t handle a scandal involving you right now.” Felicity explained, knowing that the knowledge of her marriage with Noah getting out could potentially end up ruining all her plans.

Noah nodded in understanding, though he couldn’t help but feel a twinge of hurt. He really badly wanted to claim he publicly.
Before Felicity could drive him out successfully, he turned, “One more thing.” He muttered before pressing her against the door and capturing her lips in a passionate kiss.
The kiss started rough as Noah’s tongue hungrily explored her mouth. Felicity’s eyes widened initially, but she gradually eased into it, shutting her eyes and kissing him with equal ferocity, digging her fingers into his hair eagerly.
They kissed fervently and only separated when they both ran out of breath. Panting with their nose touching, they gazed into each other’s eyes deeply.
“What was that for?” Felicity asked out of breath.
“I couldn’t let him be the last person who touched you, and I’m not sorry,” He answered earnestly before planting a kiss on her forehead. Tll meet you at home.” He said before leaving
Felicity stood in daze in front of her closed door for a few seconds. That kiss had left her muddlehead, and… she actually liked it, loved it even and wanted to do it again.
Touching her lips, she slowly made her way to her chair to have a silent meltdown. Everything was too hasty for her to comprehend.
Her door opened, and Beatrice walked in, “Do you have any instructions?” She asked. News spread fast, and she was already aware of the mysterious man that had visited Felicity. Now, she needed to confirm if the visit was good news or bad news,
“Don’t let a word of what happened today leave this building.” Felicity instructed after composing herself a little.
Beatrice nodded and left, leaving Felicity to continue in her reverie.
In the garage, Noah entered a flashy white Ferrari that was parked. Inside, lan was sitting in the driver’s seat, patiently waiting for Noah to return.
“How did it go?” lan inquired, curiously.
“Quite well,” Noah replied before his countenance turned serious. He looked totally different from how he portrayed himself to Felicity earlier. Now, he was intimidating and scary.
He asked lan with a cold voice, “Did you get what I asked for?”
Ian nodded, retrieving an envelope from the backseat, handing it over to Noah. Noah opened it and brought out the photographs inside.
“These are the locations of all the illegal pipelines owned by the Walkers. I guess you could say that’s their second form of trade. They rake in billions from them every month,” Ian explained. “What do you want me to do with them?”
Noah threw the pictures aside, ‘Crush every one last of them. He commanded, emotionlessly.
Felicity wasn’t the only one who had connected the dots that Caster kiss couldn’t be a coincidence. Noah had too, he certainly saw Caster glance in his direction briefly before initiating that kiss.
From the reports from his men, he knew that Caster was desperately trying to uncover his identity, but Noah paid him no mind as he knew all Caster’s efforts were futile. People like him were only exposed when they wanted to be.
But touching Felicity was the height of it. If Caster wanted to provoke him, then he had succeeded. Caster needed to suffer
. and Noah would use him as an example to others not to cross him.

“If he’s so eager to know who I am, why don’t I show him, Noah said with a smirk, glancing at lan, who started the car.
Just give him hell, boss, lan replied with a grin as they drove out of the garage and into the streets.
