Chapter 78
Felicity strode into her office the next day in a bad mood, even Beatrice noticed her foul look.
“Something bothering you?” Beatrice asked.
Felicity scowled. “No, everything is just perfect.” She grumbled, having spent the morning shuffling thre trying to see if anyone had photographed her and Caster, but she was relieved when she saw nothing.
the tabloids,
Caster – she felt like wringing his neck. This was all his fault. The timing of his kiss, just as Noah arrived, couldn’t be mere concidence. Such coincidence didn’t happen, at least not with him which meant he suspected she and Noah were together and wanted to ruin their relationship. That sly fox. He was unto her.
As for Noah, Felicity didn’t know how to feel. They had lived under the same roof for months and he still didn’t trust her. How could he think she would kiss Caster voluntarily? He didn’t even give her time to explain, ignoring her calls and her texts all night.
At this point, all men in her life could go to hell. She was done.
“What about the deal? Any progress?” Felicity asked, angrily flipping through files.
“They said they had a better offer, Beatrice informed her. “I don’t think the deal would be good anyway.”
Felicity understood Beatrice scepticism. This deal was a partnership with a recycling company who wanted to turn eggshells into toothpaste. Many people thought the idea was absurd and disgusting, but it actually became a hit, especially among the middle-class who started eggshells businesses and got toothpastes at a cheaper price.
The partnership ended up bringing millions to Walker corporation and earning them favour among the middle class.
With Caster already on her bad side, Felicity was determined to secure this deal and any other lucrative opportunities that came their way.
Tell them we’ll double the price and provide the necessary machinery to make this work,” she instructed confidently, certain they wouldn’t refuse her offer.
The shareholders might not be on board with this. Who would want eggshells in their toothpaste? It might not sell” Beatrice expressed her scepticism with a grimace, she wasn’t too keen with the idea.
Felicity met her gaze firmly, “Trust me and help me deal with the investors. This will sell, she asserted, and Beatrice nodded. still doubtful. Felicity then opened a file, “I noticed my father recently turned down a proposal from the product development department. I want to reconsider it,” she stated.
Felicity was q
quite surprised at first when she saw the business proposal. A sector of Orion group was into buildings and construction, and there was a proposal from them to sell illuminating paint. They had been able to create paints that could emit a faint glow at night and thought it would be good for the market, but her father declined because of the cost concerns.
She remembered something similar would be developed ten years in the future by an international European company, and it became a tren ng the upper-class. She couldn’t believe Orion group had come out with the idea first. This was a
Orion Group. If they released the paints now with proper advertising, their revenue would double

“Connor declined the project because it was expensive, and the shareholders were reluctant to invest in it. The company would not be able to afford it. Beatrice reminded her.
Felicity brushed off the concern, “Money isn’t the problem. I can afford it. Tell the production and marketing team to get

started immediately. We will launch in five days”
“Five days”” Beatrice exclaimed looking a Felicity as if she was a clown. “That would take millions of dollars to do. Do you want to wreck the company?”
Tve told you money isn’t a problem. I will fund everything Look, I promised the shareholders impro.ents in two weeks. and I plan to make that happen, Launch in five days, pull all the resources you can. Make everything top-notch. It will be a hit” Felicity confidently asserted. To prove her point, she transferred twenty billion to the company account right then and there, thanks to her handy limitless card.
Seeing the transaction, Beatrice started to see Felicity in a new light. Who was this woman? Launching in five days would likely set a record for the fastest launch in human history. But the confidence in Felicity’s eyes reassured her. “I will do my best” She nodded before leaving.
Felicity didn’t rest, she immediately delved into the paperworks. This launch meant that her workload would triple, but at least it would get her mind off Noah for now.
By the time she finished, it was late in the night. She sorted all the deals she knew would be successful and handed them to Beatrice. Once again, she had missed lunch and was starving. Who knew reviewing paperworks could be so exhausting? It looked so simple on TV.
She leaned back on her chair, gazing at the ceiling. Her thoughts went back to Noah, she didn’t want to go home and face him, that is if he had returned. It would be super awkward.
Summoning courage, she gathered her bag and headed out. The company was nearly deserted, save for a few employees wrapping up last-minute tasks. As she approached the garage, a black Porsche Taycan sped towards her, coming to a sudden
Hop
Different thoughts ran through her head at that moment as memories of her last encounter in a garage resurfaced in her mind. This couldn’t be kidnappers, right?
Her heart only relaxed when the driver’s seat opened and a head popped out, “Sister-in-law, did you miss me?”
Felicity rolled her eyes at Axel, “What are you doing here? Don’t tell me you’re stalking me now.
“Don’t flatter yourself. Even if you were the last woman on earth, I won’t stoop that low
“Then go away.” She shooed him away. She was too hungry too humor him.
“I’m here too!” Ian rolled down his window and waved at Felicity from the passenger’s seat, “And don’t mind Axel. Stalking you would be an honor.”
“Thank you?” Felicity

Axel walked over to her, throwing a hand over her shoulders before leading her to the backseat of the car. “I think you already know the answer to that question.”
