Chapter 75
The reason Felicity was so confident about the improvements she could make in two weeks was because she had a secret weapon no one else had-knowledge from the past.
She knew all the hot and successful deals, and also the ones that would crash. With this knowledge, of course, the company would do well in her care. Patricia may have thought she had the upper hand, but Felicity was ready to prove her wrong Unlike others, Felicity didn’t make promises she couldn’t keep.
Not to mention, this was the perfect opportunity to crumble Walker’s corporation from the outside. Stealing all their deals. would surely rattle Caster and divert his attention from internal matters. If he is distracted enough, she could start an internal war in his company through Xander.
It was like killing two birds with one stone.
She arranged all the documents aside and sighed in exhaustion. Going through all the files took all afternoon and she didn’t even have time to have lunch.
Looking at the time, she smiled. At least Noah had promised her dinner, so she didn’t have to worry. She picked up her phone and sent him a text.
[I’m done, come pick me up. I’m hungry.]
His immediate response was; [I’m on my way.]
Beatrice walked in to take the files away, “Are you done?”
Felicity nodded before tapping at the file at the top of the heap. That’s the deal we’ll be taking
“Are you sure?” Beatrice’s face scrunched up in uncertainty.
“Yes,” Felicity affirmed. It was a promising deal, and she knew that Caster was in the act of negotiating for it. She was going to swoop in and s***h it away from him.
“Okay,” Beatrice replied, trusting her judgment before leaving. Felicity packed up her things and went to the entrance to wait for Noah
By now, the papa***zi had left by now since there was nothing for them there, so Felicity could stand freely.
As she waited, a little girl ran up to her with a smile, presenting a red rose from behind her, “Miss, someone sent me to give this to you.
Baffled, Felicity accepted the rose slowly. “Who sent you?” she inquired.
“A handsome uncle,” the little girl giggled before darting away.
More children approached, each offering her a flower with the same message. Felicity accepted them all, forming a small bouquet in her hands. She couldn’t help but laugh at the unexpected gesture, suspecting Noah’s handiwork. Only he would orchestrate such an elaborate stunt without hesitation.
A blush crept onto her cheeks. She couldn’t believe she was blushing for a man, something she had sworn not to do. Maybe it wasn’t such a bad thing after all.
Excitedly, she looked around to see if she could spot Noah or his car, but she didn’t find anyone familiar.

A tap on her back made her heart flutter with anticipation. With a wide smile, she spun around, “Noah-“The rest of her words got caught in her throat when she saw who was standing behind her and her smile immediately dropped, replaced by a look of uter disdain.
“Noah? Is that the name of the man you replaced me with?” Caster asked with a smirk when he saw her scowl, “Here I thought you’d be happy to see me after I gave you flowers. Disappointed? Were you expecting to see someone else?”
Felicity clenched her fists in anger. The audacity for him to show up like that. “What are you doing here?” she demanded.
“I came to congratulate you on your latest accomplishment.” He replied with his hands in his pockets. “I must say you cease to surprise me. From an actress to a CEO, impressive?

“Thanks, but you can leave now,” she said curtly, wary of any unwanted attention. Even though there weren’t many people around, she feared someone might recognize them together and take a photo – a situation she wanted to avoid at all costs.
“Come on, is this how you treat an old friend? I thought we were good after you attended my house party. Speaking of which, how’s Derek?”
Felicity couldn’t resist the urge to jab back. “You should worry more about your sister. How is she? I haven’t heard about her for a while.”
Caster clicked his tongue in annoyance before smiling, “She’s recovering nicely abroad but let’s not discuss such matters. How about dinner to celebrate your victory?”
your
Felicity laughed in disbelief. “I think you’ve misunderstood me, Mr. Walker. We aren’t close enough for that. I attended party out of courtesy, not to rekindle our friendship. We have no reason to have dinner together. If you’re bored, call my cousin. Now, if you don’t mind, I have other matters to attend to she said, pushing his flowers back into his chest. “Excuse

Caster’s eyes trailed to something behind her before he smirked. As a matter of fact, I am.” He said before pulling her into a
kiss.
Felicity’s eyes widened in shock as she felt his repulsive lips on hers. Disgust coursed through her, and she pushed him away before delivering a firm slap across his face.
“Are you mad?” She spat at him, slapping him again across the other cheek. She grabbed his collar and pulled him down until they were at the same level, “Try this again and your life will be twice as painful as it’s supposed to be.” She glared at him before walking away, the sound of his laughter behind making her boil in rage.
What was his problem? Why did he have to come and annoy her? That insufferable b**ard.
She reached for her phone and dialled Noah’s number, but he wasn’t picking up. She tried three more times before up deciding to go home.

Arriving at the estate, she was surprised to see Noah’s car already parked outside. She went in and saw him drinking at the dining table.
Shaking off what happened with Caster, she approached him.
“Why are you here? I was waiting for you at the office,” she complained, but Naoh remained silent, his back facing her. “You should have informed me you weren’t coming or at least picked my calls, instead of making me look like a fool waiting for you she still got no reply from him.

Worried by his unusual attitude, she approached him at the table, “Are you alright?” she asked, standing beside him.
On the table, she saw a half-empty bottle of whiskey. His grip on his glass was hard, making his veins bulge out. She couldn’t
also see his face because it was bowed.
Concerned, she placed a hand on his shoulder. The next moment, Noah raised his head to look at her, his eyes bloodshot and filled with rage.
“Get your hands off me.”
