Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 71

Chapter 71
Patricia slowly lowered her hand. For some reason, the man’s voice scared her to the core.
Georgia on the other hand almost squealed in excitement when she saw the man’s face. It was him, Felicity’s sponsor. The one she had seen in front of the set.
She was tempted to bring out her phone to take a picture, but she dared not after the threat. She loved her arms dearly. Once again, she had lost the chance of identifying the handsome man.
Seeing that they weren’t trying anything else, Noah put on his glasses, “Let’s go.” He ordered and everybody started to pack up to leave.
Doctor Gerald approached. He handed her a paper, “This is the test of the so-called tea you brought to me. It proves that your dad was poisoned. The good news is the likelihood of him surviving he surgery has increased since we know the cause of his heart problem.”
Hearing this, Patricia subconsciously took a step back in fright. What so-called tea were they talking about?
“My brother was poisoned?” Patricia gasped in disbelief but no one was buying it.
“Doctor, are you confident about this? How could my Uncle be poisoned under our watch?” Georgia asked.
“The tea you guys have been feeding him is poison and the test results show that,” He handed Felicity the paper, “I will be taking my leave now.” He said before running to the helicopter. Immediately he got in, the chopper took off, leaving behind the trio and the five armed bodyguards behind.
“Why are they still here?” Patricia pointed at the guards. She wanted to harass Felicity for her actions, but she would be unable to because of the presence of the guards.
“Because I want them too, Felicity replied. She knew Patricia would try something with her, so she asked Noah for help.
Bringing the chopper for her father and the bodyguards where what she had demanded, and he provided them effortlessly. Due to him, her plan was going more smoothly than she anticipated.
“Now, do you want to explain yourself before I call the police or would you rather do that at the police station?” Felicity
sneered.
“Are you threatening to arrest my mom? You must be out of your mind if you think my mom poisoned Uncle.” Georgia spat.
“Then, how was my dad poisoned then? She was the one who gave him the tea, wasn’t she?” She argued, making Georgia go silent. “Aunty, do you mind explaining? Even if you are family, I wouldn’t hesitate to put you behind bars if I find out that you are responsible.”
Patricia struggled for words to say. Beads of sweat formed on her brow as she attempted to concoct a plausible explanation.” “I didn’t buy the tea. I sent one of the maids to get some herbal tea for my brother. How was I supposed to know it was poison?”
Patricia sighed in relief. Fortunately, she hadn’t bought the tea personally and had sent a maid to pick it up instead. There was no way the tea would be traced to her.
“A mald? Let’s go to the mansion and meet this maid. Felicity commanded and the guards beckoned to Patricia and Georgia to start walking, and they did so reluctantly.
They got into the car and arrived at the Orion mansion a few minutes later. Felicity immediately called all the staff of the

Spotting one of the maids, Patricia darted forward and delivered a resounding slap. “How dare you try to kill my brother?” she accused, her voice seething with anger.
“M-Ma’am,” the maid stuttered in confusion.
“I sent you to buy some herbal tea for my brother when he was in pain, but instead you bought him poison. Why did you do it?” Patricia gave the girl a stern look.
It only took some seconds for the maids to understand what was going on. She was being threatened to take the fall for a crime she didn’t commit.
All the staff in the mansion were hired by Patricia, they were her people. And each of them owed her a debt which they had To pay someday. For this maid, it was now.
“Please, forgive me. It was the devil” The maid fell to her knees, pleading with her head bowed.
Patricia was internally relieved that the girl understood. Now, she was in the clear.
“Felicity, is this enough proof that my mother is innocent?” Georgia demanded, crossing her arms in front of her chest, victoriously
“Innocent?” Felicity arched her brow. “Every staff in this house was hired by her, and my dad was poisoned under her watch. She is far from innocent, and so are you.” She stated firmly before walking to the maid on the floor, “What’s your name?”
8-Sarah, Miss.”
“Sarah,” Felicity repeated. “Do you know what is going to happen to you? You are going to spend the rest of your life in jail. and I will make sure your family never knows peace for as long as I live if you don’t speak the truth. Now tell me, why did you do it?”
Sarah gulped nervously, looking at Patricia for help but she turned away.
Felicity saw this and grabbed her jaw, “I am the only one who decides your fate today, so look at me.”
“I’m sorry. I’m very sorry. I didn’t mean to do it. It was the devil. Sarah continued to beg.
Felicity sighed, the maid was as lame as her employer, “The devil, huh? Well, you are fired. You are all fired,” She announced to all the staff. A series of gasps and murmurs filled the air.
“You can’t do that, Patricia protested.
“I just did.” Felicity retorted. The Orions don’t need incompetent staff. If one can poison their employer, I wonder what the
others can do.”
“We will never harm Mr. Orion. A man yelled from the crowd but Felicity scoffed in response.
“Well, I don’t believe you. You may all pack your things and leave immediately. If you refuse to comply, I will ask the police outside to drag you out,” She declared before turning to Sarah, “And as for you, no need to pack your bags. You are done.” With a wave of her hand, she signaled for the guards to escort Sarah to the waiting police outside.
They watched as Sarah kicked and screamed for mercy as she was being dragged out, but no one dared to intervene. When the others heard the police were outside and saw the cold look in Felicity’s eyes, they had no choice but to start packing their bags. They wondered if it was the same naive Felicity that couldn’t do anything without Georgia that was standing in front of them. Why had she changed so much?

Chapter 71
Patricia watched in dismay as each maid and butler left the house gradually until it became empty, leaving only the three of them and the guards in the mansion.
“You insolent brat. Don’t you have any conscience? You are cutting them from their livelihood. They have mouths to feed” Patricia yelled, face red with a mixture of anger and desperation. Firing all the staff was like cutting off most of her control in the mansion, and it was simply unacceptable.
Felicity didn’t care whether she was being heartless. To her, they were all accomplices. Sarah for example probably knew th tea was poison or suspected it, but never said anything. She even willingly took the blame for everything, so why should Felicity have mercy on her?
She had to ensure that the mansion was safe by the time her father returned, even if it meant destroying others lives in the process.
They weren’t totally innocent anyway. In her past life when her aunt kicked her out of the house, they all watched in scor None of them rendered a helping hand to her, so why should she care about them now?
After all, she never claimed to be a good person.
“They will survive. We’ve always paid them in advance.” Felicity shrugged in response.
“When did you become this heartless? First, you accuse Mom of poisoning Uncle, now you drive all the staff away. Uncle may have given you control over the company, but that doesn’t give you the right to treat us this way, Georgia complained in frustration. “After all, it wasn’t our fault that the maid bought Orpi instead of tea.”
Patricia winced internally and nudged Georgia as those words came out of her mouth. At this rate, Georgia would ruin everything with her s**id mouth. She desperately hoped Felicity had missed the slip-up.
But instead, Felicity’s eyes lit up. Bingo! This was the slip-up she had been waiting for. She strutted over to Georgia slowly, “What did you just say? I never said the poison was Orpi. How did you know that?”
