Chapter 54
Whether it was a lazy pose, a seductive gaze, a bold stance, or a wild expression, Felicity delivered whatever the photographer asked for.
Lilian, who watched from the sidelines, was nearly overcome with happiness. This was the talented Felicity she knew. Overjoyed, she whipped out her phone to capture the moment herself.
A clever idea struck her, and she immediately forwarded the photos to Noah. Noah had given her his number so she could reach out whenever Felicity needed help because Felicity never directly asked for it.
Once Felicity was done, Lilian rushed over to her. “You were absolutely splendid! Just wait, after this, more contracts will come pouring in.”
Felicity smiled warmly at the praise. Even the photographer approached to apologise for his earlier doubt, while Vivian stormed out in anger.
Meanwhile, at City B.
Noah was in the middle of a meeting with his employees when Lilian’s text came through. He was focused on the presentation one of his employees was giving but immediately losed interest as soon as he laid eyes on the pictures.
Seeing Felicity in the short white nightdress stirred strange emotions within him. She resembled a goddess in that attire, her long legs captivating his attention.
The idea of other men laying eyes on her like this stirred a possessive streak in him. This view was meant for him and him alone; others had no right to it. Perhaps he should act swiftly to establish his claim.
“Boss…” Jan nudged him, breaking his reverie.
Furrowing his brow, Noah lifted his head to find everyone staring at him. The employee, in the midst of presenting. appeared on the verge of tears, likely assuming his presentation was dull that his boss found something else to do.
“Do you approve of the plan?” Ian murmured, attempting to rescue his friend from this unusual situation.
Noah cleared his throat, putting his phone aside before responding, “It’s acceptable. Proceed with it. The meeting is adjourned.” He motioned for everyone to leave.
His employees wasted no time in vacating the room.
“This is unlike you. What’s on your mind? Are you missing your wife so much that you’re zoning out?” Ian teased, but Noah didn’t spare him a glance.
“Clear my schedule and handle the paperwork for the next two days. I’m going on a trip.” Noah said.
Jan’s eyes
widened in disbelief, and he sputtered, “What! You can’t leave. I can’t handle everything by myself!”
Noah stood up and began walking towards his private elevator as lan panicked and followed after him.
“Boss, you have to reconsider!”
“I’ll give you a raise, Noah offered,
Jan paused, his expression brightening. “Really? I’d also like a month off from work.”

Before pushing the button for the elevator to close, Noah replied. “Don’t push your luck, and left lan staring at the closing doors.
In no time, Noah boarded his private jet to City Z to surprise his wife.
Meanwhile, after Felicity finished her shoot, she changed back into her previous dress and prepared to leave.
She bid farewell to Grace, who congratulated her on the successful shoot.
Sensing Vivian’s gaze on her, their eyes locked, and Vivian shot her a fake smile. Felicity got goosebumps as she recognized the same smile Vivian always wore before causing trouble. It was a clear sign that Vivian was plotting something dreadful.
Recalling past events, Felicity felt a wave of disgust. In her previous life, Vivian would push her down the stairs just two days from now. She wondered if history would repeat itself or if she had successfully altered her fate.
Regardless, she resolved to stay vigilant. If Vivian attempted anything, Felicity would ensure she regretted it.
Seeing the disdainful expression on Felicity’s face, Lilian offered, “Do you want me to give her a piece of my mind?”
Felicity shook her head. “There’s no need for that. Let’s return to the hotel.”
Lilian nodded and accompanied her back to the hotel. Since they had separate rooms, they parted ways to rest.
Felicity was overcome by fatigue, having had no sleep the previous night due to the impromptu trip. After freshening up, she collapsed on the bed, utterly exhausted.
She was about to succumb to sleep when a knock on the door interrupted her. She frowned because she had clearly placed a do not disturb sign on her door. Groaning, she reluctantly rose to answer it.
“I didn’t request room service…” She began, trailing off as she encountered a man holding a bottle of wine. Her eyes fell on his name tag, Kagen. It was a strange name,
“I’m terribly sorry to disturb you, but the hotel is celebrating a special occasion, and we were told to give this to all the guests as a gift,” The man in the waiter’s uniform handed her the wine.
Felicity furrowed her brow as she accepted the wine, feeling somewhat wary. There was a nagging feeling that she had seen the man before, but she dismissed it as merely recognizing him from around the hotel.
“What’s the occasion?” she inquired, curious.
“We’re celebrating new beginnings,” He replied with a smile. Felicity nodded and was about to shut the door when he added, “Welcome new beginnings, but be mindful of the warnings that come with them.”
“Excuse me?” Felicity didn’t understand his cryptic words.
“Have a nice day, Miss Orion,” He concluded before leaving.
Perplexed, Felicity watched him go. His presence left her unsettled for some reason. Quickly shutting the door, she placed the wine on the nightstand before climbing into bed.
Just as she began drifting off to sleep, the doorbell rang again.
“Who could it be this time?” Felicity groaned. It was late, and she desperately wanted to sleep.
Opening the door groggily, she was suddenly engulfed by two broad arms. She squealed in fright but then relaxed as the

familiar cologne reached her nostrils.
“I missed you,” Noah whispered.
Surprised, Felicity stammered, “You… what are you doing here?”
“Aren’t you happy to see me?” Noah teased, feigning annoyance.
Felicity opened and closed her mouth, momentarily taken aback. She did miss him, but she wasn’t about to admit it. She had grown accustomed to seeing his face every day and was secretly relieved he was there.
Noah wrapped his arms around her waist and guided them inside, closing the door behind them. His mood shifted when he noticed the sheer nightdress she was wearing, instantly aroused. You look breathtaking… I want to kiss you,” he whispered into her ear.
Felicity was still muddled by everything that was happening. Before she could respond, she felt a soft sensation on her lips.
