Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 39

Chapter 39
Jonah attempted to touch Felicity, saying, “Caster has had a taste why don’t I too?”
She fought her way out of his grasp, delivering a resounding slap to his face before delivering a swift kick to his groin. As he doubled over in pain, she mercilessly stomped on his feet with her heels and smiled when she heard a c**k.
With a firm grip on his hair, she forced him to bend to her level Try this again, and I’ll end you,” she warned, her tone leaving no room for doubt.
After her stern words, she shoved him away and left the restaurant.
Felicity’s facade of strength began to c**k as she made her way home. Anger still pulsed through her veins, but beneath it lurked a deeper turmoil. She couldn’t shake the feeling of violation, the sense of vulnerability that lingered like a shadow.
Throughout the drive home, she gritted her teeth, seething with anger. Her hands clenched the steering wheel tightly, knuckles turning white as she replayed the assault in her mind. Each memory sent a shiver down her spine, and her skin crawled with revulsion.
During their interactions on set, she had sensed something off about him, but she never expected him to be capable of such depravity. The realisation left her feeling sick to her stomach, questioning her own judgement.
Who did he think he was? Felicity seethed inwardly, her thoughts consumed by the injustice of it all. She realised she had been too lenient on her enemies lately, allowing him to think he could get away with such behaviour.
When she arrived home, Felicity noticed Noah’s car in the driveway. She made an effort to maintain a neutral expression as she entered the house.
Inside, she found Noah in the living room, engrossed in paperwork. “Good evening.” she murmured, not waiting for his reply as she swiftly made her way to her room.
Noah had been deliberately waiting for her for the past two hours, intending to apologise for his behaviour earlier that morning. He had accepted the fact that he couldn’t control her feelings towards Caster, despite his own budding feelings for
her.
He stood up and followed her inside, intending to have a conversation. “Felicity, I want to apologise…” His words trailed off as he entered the room to find her in the midst of undressing.
Felicity had begun removing her shirt when Noah barged in without knocking. She paused briefly before continuing to undress, completely unfazed by his presence. To her, it was akin to wearing a bikini, something she had done countless times without concern.
Felicity, feeling uncomfortable under Noah’s intense stare, responded sharply, “Can’t you knock?*
Noah continued to gaze at her without averting his eyes, prompting Felicity to feel even more irritated. She acknowledged that her choice to change in the middle of the room contributed to the situation, but she was too exhausted and disgusted by Jonah’s actions to care. She expected Noah, however, to apologise like a gentleman.
Turning to face him when his gaze became too much to bear, Felicity threw her arpas in the air, exclaiming. “What?! You’ve never seen a woman’s body before?”
In an instant, Noah was before her, gently grasping her arms. His eyes hardened as he inquired “Who did this?”
Looking down to see what he was referring to, Felicity noticed a nasty blue bruise on her arm, precisely where Jonah had gripped her. It left a clear imprint of a palm.

“It’s nothing,” she dismissed.

“No, this isn’t nothing. Who touched you?” Noah growled, his eyes blazing with anger. Seeing such an ugly mark on her spotless skin ignited a fierce protective instinct within him.
He hadn’t touched her yet, so who dared to hurt his wife?
“I’ve handled it. You don’t have to bother about it,” Felicity insisted.
“Of course, I’m bothered. This is a d**n bruise, Noah retorted.
“You promised you wouldn’t meddle in my personal affairs.”
“F**k that! You became my personal affair when I married you, so I deserve to know if someone hurt you. You are my wife!” Noah’s voice boomed, causing Felicity to flinch in fright. It was the first time she had seen him this enraged, and it was unsettling.
C-Calm down, it’s not that serious,” She stuttered. “It was Jonah.
“Who the hell is that?” He asked, his veins bulging.
“My co-star”
“That son of a b**h put his filthy hands on you?”
“He was angry that I refused his advances and wanted to teach me a lesson, but I made it clear that I’m not someone to be messed with. I think he got the point.”
He scoffed at Jonah’s audacity. Who knew a small-time actor could be so brazen? Noah didn’t care how Felicity dealt with him; he needed to administer his own form of punishment.
Drawing her closer and planting a kiss on her forehead, he instructed, “Go to bed. I’ll be back,” Before storming out of the house.
“Where are you going?” Felicity yelled after him, her voice laced with fear.
“Relax, I’ll be back soon,” He answered before getting into his car and driving off, leaving Felicity watching him depart with a
sense of unease.
While driving, Noah called lan, “There is someone I want you to bring to me.”
Jonah sat in his apartment nursing his injured foot, sipping a beer, when a knock on the door startled him. Irritation coursed through him; he hadn’t ordered anything, and his location was secure from fans. Who dared to disturb him at this hour? Didn’t people have anything better to do?
With a grimace, he tested his injured leg and muttered curses under his breath. “That crazy b**h! Just wait till I’m done with her,” He growled as he limped towards the door. “Who the hell is tr
He checked the doorbell camera and saw no one outside. Perhaps they had the wrong address. Just as he turned away, doorbell rang again. This time, the camera revealed a suited man standing at his door,
Though Jonah didn’t recognize him, the man’s attire suggested importance.
