Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 30

Chapter 30
The sudden appearance of another person startled the two women, causing them to step back in fear. They hadn’t heard him approach.
“Who are you?” Lilian asked, instinctively positioning herself protectively in front of Felicity. She whispered to her, “If this turns out to be a robber or kidnapper, I want you to run as fast as you can. I’ll try to hold him off.”
Felicity, touched by Lilian’s protective gesture, reassured her with a gentle touch on her shoulder. “Relax,” she said softly, recognizing Noah’s voice immediately.
Understanding Lilian’s apprehension, Felicity attempted to calm the situation. Lilian remained cautious, unaware of Noah’s identity.
“Why are you here?” Felicity scowled, arms crossed. She was still irked by the disruption he caused during her shoot. “Do you have a habit of sneaking up on people?”
“It’s a necessity in life, Noah replied nonchalantly, still clad in his suit from the office. “Why the frown? Aren’t you glad to see me?
“Not particularly, not after the chaos you caused today. Why send so many gifts?”
“I wanted to make it clear that you’re taken,” he said simply.
Lilian observed the interaction between them, connecting the dots. So, this was the man who had captivated Felicity. It was no wonder she fell for him; he was even more striking than Caster.
Despite sensing a daunting and enigmatic aura around him, Lilian remained unfazed. No matter how intimidating he appeared, she refused to let Felicity jeopardise her career for him, especially now that she had regained her senses.
Taking a menacing step toward Noah, Lilian jabbed her nails into his chest. “So, you’re the one messing around with Felicity. I won’t stand by and watch her throw her life away again. Before you reach her, you’ll have to deal with me first, you punk!”

Lilian looked like an ant next to Noah’s towering stature, but her determination was uncanny. She seemed ready to spring into action if Noah dared to approach Felicity.
Noah acknowledged Lilian’s protective stance with a nod of approval. He wasn’t offended; instead, he felt reassured knowing that someone like Lilian was looking out for Felicity.
“Really? Is that what you said about me? How cruel to tarnish my impeccable reputation,” Noah asked Felicity, unfazed by Lilian’s hostility.
“She’s not wrong. You ARE a punk,” Felicity interjected, stepping around Lilian to stand beside Noah.
“Felicity, what are you doing?” Lilian asked, trying to pull Felicity away from Noah. But he held Felicity close. “What will people say when they find out? If you keep this up, I might have to quit.”
Noah and Felicity exchanged glances. She silently asked if it was okay to reveal his identity.
“Do you trust her?” Noah whispered.
Felicity nodded without hesitation. Lilian had proven herself trustworthy.
“Then it’s settled,” Noah answered.
Felicity smiled, linking arms with Noah. She turned to Lilian, “We got married.”
Lilian felt like the ground had vanished beneath her. She felt faint. Married? That was worse th
she thought. How was she supposed to redeem the situation now?
“Married? You got married?” she stuttered in disbelief.
“Yes, he’s my husband.”
“I’m going to kill both of you,” Lilian growled, taking off her shoes.
“What are you doing?” Felicity asked, warily.
“Get into the car right now before the paparazzi sees us and hear this atrocity,” Lilian commanded, her voice tense with urgency.
Before Noah could explain that his men had taken care of the paparazzi in the area,

Lilian shoved him into the car, hitting him in the face with her shoe in the process.

never been manhandled like this in his life.
Once they were all settled in Felicity’s car, Lilian stepped on the gas pedal and drove
away.
“How could you get married?!” Lilian was agitated as she glared at Noah and Felicity in the back seat.
“It was a spontaneous thing. I was surprised too when it happened,” Felicity answered truthfully, but Lilian misunderstood her words.
“Felicity, you can’t just hold a spontaneous wedding because you feel like it. For all we know, he’s a scammer.”

“You should introduce us,” Noah told Felicity, tired of the misconceptions towards him.
“Sure, Felicity smirked, “Noah, meet my manager, Lilian, and Lilian, meet my husband… Noah Elsworth.”
The car screeched as Lilian slammed on the brakes abruptly. Fortunately, the road was free of cars, or they might have had a major accident.
Lilian looked back at them, “E-Elsworth?” Felicity nodded, and Lilian gasped, holding her mouth as she stared at Noah. The look in her eyes changed from disgust to reverence, then to fright when she remembered how she had treated him previously. “Why didn’t you say something sooner? Mr. Elsworth, please forgive my rude behaviour. I was so blind not to recognize you previously.”
“It’s fine,” Noah replied, not taking offence at her behaviour. It had been a long time since someone treated him so casually, other than his parents, lan, and Felicity.
“I
will leave you two to talk,” Noah said as he got down from the car and approached his bodyguards who had been driving behind them.
“How did this happen?” Lilian asked Felicity calmly when they were alone.
“It’s a long story, but it happened. I will tell you more when the time is right.”
“I don’t need to know more. This is good. I’m just happy you found someone better than Caster,” Lilian replied sincerely. This was the Elsworth family, for Christ’s t “Does he treat you well?”
