Chapter 25
“Ts a secret,” Felicity answered.

And right now, they happened to be in the stock market and were looking for investors.
Her plan wasn’t too complicated. She would make an alias and start purchasing shares from his company till she had a significant share.
This was the first phase of her plan. The second phase was to steal all the deals meant for Wal Inc., leaving the business vulnerable.
The third phase was yet to be determined but she would get there.
Felicity couldn’t tell Noah all this. She still didn’t trust him yet to divulge all her secrets.
Noah decided not to push the issue further and left her to her affairs. Quickly. arrangements were made, and Felicity officially became the CEO of Mario.
However, the operated through a representative, never revealing her face to her employees. They thought she was a European man who saved their jobs, and were grateful.
Using the alias Don James, she remained behind the scenes, currently awaiting updates from her representative who was going to invest in Caster’s company.
“Felicity, are you ready? You are up next. The director yelled to get her attention.
Felicity nodded. The upcoming scene she was about to shoot was intense, and she had spent the past few days practising stunts.
In this particular scene, Dahlia and Tony had to leap from one building to another to evade a horde of infected people that had overrun their current location.
Despite the terrifying scenario, there was also a hint of romance. Tony’s instinct to protect Dahlia, even at the risk of his own life, was evident. It was in this moment that Dahlia realised his true feelings for her, and they shared a silent exchange of love. Felicity positioned herself beside Jonah, both of them wearing dirty clothes and

sporting scratches and cuts on their faces, miroring the rugged appearance typical of lead actors in a zombie apocalypse movie. The extras surrounding them all looked like zombies.
“Okay. Action!” the director called out.
In an instant, Felicity transformed into her character. Her eyes well up as she sprinted away from the approaching horde of insanity, the despera on to escape apparent in her every move. She even allowed herself to stumble to the ground a few times, adding to the authenticity of the scen
“Dahlia, over here!” Tony’s voice cut through the chaos as he hauled her towards the roof of the building, hastily slamming the flimsy door behind them.
“I don’t want to die. I’m not ready to die. T-There’s so much I haven’t done yet. Why is this happening to us?” Dahlia’s voice cracked, tears streaming down her dirt-streaked.
face.
Tony’s grip tightened on her shoulders, his eyes ablaze with determination. “Listen to me. We are not going to die here, okay? I will get us out of here. Do you hear me?”
Dahlia nodded in agreement, her resolve strengthened by Tony’s words.
“That door isn’t going to hold for long. We have to jump.” Tony urged, pushing her closer to the edge.
Dahlia’s eyes widened in terror as she assessed the distance. “Are you insane?! I’m not jumping,” she exclaimed, shaking her head frantically.
“You have to. That’s the only way we are getting out of this alive,” Tony insisted, his voice strained with urgency.
Dahlia shook her head adamantly. “No.”
The loud thumping on the door behind them grew louder, echoing through the building. Any moment now, the door would give in to the force of the horde, and their chances of survival would reduce.
Tony, faced with no other option, acted swiftly. In a split second, he scooped Dahlia up and hurled her from the roof of the building just as the door behind them crashed
down.
Time seemed to stretch as Felicity watched in horror as the zombies closed in on Tony,
theu claws reaching out for him. But just in time, he managed to evade their grasp by leaping off the building. They crashed through a window together, tumbling into a classroom in the adjacent building-
After the adrenaline fueled escape, they lay amidst the shattered glass, their eyes meeting in a moment of shared relief and a whirlwind of emotions.
“Cut” the director’s voice rang out. “That was good.”
Felicity stood up from the floor and Jonah quickly approached her. “Are you okay? I’m sorry for throwing you so hard,” he expressed.
“It’s okay, I’m fine, Felicity reassured him.
“Are you sure? Let me make it up to you. How about dinner?” He suggested.
Felicity had no interest in accepting his invitation. “No, I’m quite busy today,” she replied, attempting to walk away, but he blocked her path.
“What about tomorrow? I know a place that serves great sushi,” he persisted. Despite his insistence, Felicity remained firm. “I’ll have to pass. Maybe another time,” she declined. politely. “I’m very busy lately but you can take the others with you.” She suggested to him and tried to leave again.
This time, he closed the distance between them, causing Felicity to raise a brow at the invasion of her personal space.
Jonah sighed, brushing his hair from his face aggressively, “You never do anything with us. Do you think you’re that special? Why do you keep rejecting me? Quit playing hard. to get,” he said, the smile fading from his face.
Felicity scoffed, feeling a surge of indignation at his words. She had always harboured suspicions about his supposed kindness, and now his true colours were unmistakably revealed. “Excuse me?” she retorted, arching an eyebrow in disbelief.
The sound of shutters drew their attention to Rita and Georgia behind them. Rita held her phone, capturing pictures of them while Georgia sarcastically applauded. “Looks like our male and female leads are getting quite cosy,” she remarked, emphasising the word ‘cosy.
Yeah, they’re practically glued to each other. It’s like a blossoming world to see,” Rita chimed i
“Hey! Take that down immediately.” Jonah demanded, attempting to reach for Rita’s phone, but she quickly hid it away.
Too late. It’s already done.”
Jonah’s glare lingered on both of them before he stormed away.
What a hypocrite, Felicity scoffed inwardly. He wanted to ask her out but didn’t want to be seen with her at the same time. People like him disgusted her.
“Felicity, care to explain?” Georgia prodded, a hint of provocation in her tone.
Why should I explain myself to you? Find someone else to pester for attention.” Felicity asserted confidently.
“Be careful. The netizens will surely come for you after seeing this.”
Felicity met her gaze squarely. “You’re the one who should be careful. You might be with child. Focus on taking care of yourself instead of stressing over me. You wouldn’t want to risk hurting the Caster’s baby,” she retorted before turning to leave.
Georgia was left stunned and speechless. She had tried her best to dispel the pregnancy rumours, but Felicity had just brought them up again, and worse, in front of Rita. It was a nightmare scenario she had hoped to avoid.
Turning to Georgia. Rita asked loudly. “Are you really pregnant with Caster’s child?!”
“Are you crazy?! Of course, I’m not pregnant. Don’t ever say that again, or you’ll regret it Georgia snapped before storming off in rage.
Rita loved gossip and knew just who to share it with. What could Georgia do anyway? Rita smirked and left happily.
When Felicity got to her makeup room, she checked her phone and saw Rita’s picture trending. Felicity had to give it to Rita, the award winning supporting actress had more influence than she thought.
The reactions were mostly negative, with many assuming Jonah was Felicity’s next target now that she was no longer with Caster.
Well, there’s no such thing as bad publicity. She decided to use this situation to her advantage.
