Felicity woke up to the sound of water rushing from the bathroom. She yawned loudly and buried herself deeper into the soft bed.
Wait, bed?
Her eyes flung open immediately, and she sat up, shocked to find herself in an unfamiliar room. She was certain she fell asleep on the couch. What was she doing here?
Her questions were answered when she saw Noah walk out of the bathroom with a towel tied around his waist.
Droplets of water dripped down Noah’s hair, tracing along his fair skin. His wet abs and prominent V-line were on full display.
She swallowed unconsciously. Her husband was fit.
“Like what you see?” Noah teased.
Felicity met his playful eyes and frowned, “I’ve seen better.”
A dark line suddenly appeared on Noah’s forehead at her response. A strange feeling tingled his chest as he thought of Felicity with Caster. Did she also ogle his body like she just did his?
He didn’t like it
“Why am I here?” she asked.
“You fell asleep on the couch. I brought you here,” Noah replied.
“I wanted to sleep on the couch. Why did you take all the beds?” Felicity got out of the bed and folded her arms and interrogated him.
“Husband and wife are supposed to sleep together, Noah insisted.
Felicity didn’t bother arguing with him anymore. She needed to hurry to her shoot.
Before she left, she told him, “I need a favour from you.”

Felicity nodded and left to get ready.
She arrived at the location for the shoot just in time. The shooting was taking place at Kingston University, a university in City B
Daunting Lullaby followed the story of a group of students trapped in their university after a mysterious cloud began drawing everyone to it, causing insanity to ensue.
Felicity portrayed Dahlia, a chemistry nerd in the school. Together with a team of students. Dahlia embarked on a mission to find a solution to the cloud, navigate their way home, and evade the deranged individuals roaming the streets.
Despite not being a romance film, Daunting Lullaby exceeded expectations and garnered considerable success, ultimately being awarded the best movie of the year in its category.
Felicity entered the dressing room, finding all the other actresses already present and nearly done getting ready. She checked the time, realising she wasn’t late, so why was everyone so early?
“Felicity, everyone has been waiting for you. Come and get ready quickly. It’s almost time to shoot,” the makeup artist urged her.
Taking her seat, Felicity allowed the makeup artist to start working on her.
“Our blossoming rose came an hour early and even assisted the staff, but a small fry like her came late.”
“She is very irresponsible.”
“She doesn’t deserve the lead role. If she is unwilling to act, the role should be given to someone else.”
It dawned on Felicity that the other actresses might have ganged up on her to make her
look bad.
Sigh, why did she always face hurdles in life?

A lady approached Felicity and clicked her tongue in disdain. “Felicity, why did you audition for the role when you knew you
right; you are rude and arrogant. Do would always come late? The rumours were
you think you can’t be replaced?”
Felicity frowned and arched a brow at the lady. “And you are?”
Someone gasped, and the lady’s expression shifted from disdain to disbe… “You don’t know who I am? Are you that ignorant?”
Everyone was throwing Felicity unpleasant looks, but she didn’t really know who the girl was.
Dressed similarly to the other actresses, Felicity asked, “Are you one of the extras?”
The lady banged her fist on the table angrily. “Hey! Who do you think you are to talk to me in such a rude manner? Your father isn’t here to protect you like he always does, so you better watch your mouth.”
Felicity sighed. The lady talked all sorts of nonsense and still didn’t introduce herself. How was she supposed to know her then?
“It seems you know who I am, but sadly, I don’t know you. If you can’t introduce yourself, then leave. I understand if you can’t comprehend the fact that the whole world. isn’t aware of your existence, but please, don’t bang the table. Can you pay for the destruction of property?” Felicity retorted.
The makeup artist attending to Felicity stifled a laugh. Even she didn’t know who the loud lady was. Self-entitled people were the most annoying set of individuals in the world.
The door opened, and the lady’s assistant walked in. “Rita, I got the mineral water you asked for.”
Rita, who was already angry, yelled, “I said I wanted sparkling water. You can’t even do anything right!”
“But you said-”
“Get out and get me my drink!”
The assistant scurried away in fright.
Felicity watched the exchange. “Rita? That’s your name. It’s not a difficult name to

Rita stomped her foot and left.
Felicity ignored Rita and continued with her preparations. Once her makeup was done, she went to pick up her costume a long-sleeve shirt, a vest, back long pants, and round glasses, the attire of a typical nerd.

As Felicity picked up the dress to change, she sneezed. Something tingled at her nose, and she sneezed again, dropping the shirt.
There was something wrong.
She looked closely and saw red dust at the corner of the dress. Her eyes widened when she touched it. It was pepper. Someone had tried to sabotage her.
Fortunately, she had prepared herself for tricks like this and asked Lilian to always provide extra clothes for her. She left the contaminated clothes and wore the new ones. It was time for shooting. The first scene was in the classroom during a lecture when emergency news was broadcasted in the intercom about a strange cloud. Most people took it as a joke, until an insane man with a gun ran into the school and started killing students.
Felicity’s character, Dahlia Jones, was someone who didn’t stand out. She always went unnoticed, buried in one book or another.
In the first scene, Dahlia sat in an inconspicuous corner of the room with a nonchalant expression on her face as the teacher ranted about something she already had full knowledge of.
Suddenly, an emergency message was broadcasted:
“Everyone hearing this message should be warned. There have been reported cases of a strange cloud travelling the globe and turning people insane. The country is going into a total lockdown until everything is settled. Nobody should leave their…”
The transmission was interrupted as a strange sound came through the speakers. It sounded like the soft lullaby mothers usually sang to their children. Then suddenly, there was a scream and everything went quiet.
“What the heck was that?” The male lead, Tony, voiced.

Murmurs echoed in the room as everyone wondered about the strange transmission.
“Everyone, calm down. I will go out and ask what is going on,” the teacher said before leaving the room.
“Tony, what was that? Will we be alright? It was so scary,” Georgia’s character, Ouinn, said, trying to hug Tony’s hand, but he pulled away.
Quinn was the campus belle, and everyone knew she had eyes on Tony, but he was not interested in her.
The room suddenly went noisy, which disturbed Dahlia. She got up from her seat and approached the window. Tony, who had a secret crush on her, trailed her with his eyes, to Quinn’s dismay.
From the window, everything looked normal, and students ran to their classes. No one seemed to be bothered by the news.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath in, relishing the moment, and then Bang, a shot rang out.
Dahlia backed away from the window, startled. She watched from the window as a boy collapsed on the street with a bullet hole in his head.
Everyone screamed and ran.
“I can’t bear it. Make it stop! Make it STOP!!” Two more shots were fired as a man trudged into the street with a gun in his hand. His shirt was stained with blood.
He looked left and right frantically, scratching his face until he drew blood. He turned and locked eyes with Dahlia at the window.
Dahlia gasped. His eyes were like a bottomless pit.
He brought up the gun and pointed it at her. “I’m sorry.” He mouthed.
Dahlia couldn’t move from her spot as she was fixated on his strange eyes that were white as if he had cataract.
And *Bang*
