Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 173

Chapter 173
Felicity watched as Georgia drove out of the estate with an emotionless face.
“Good riddance.” She muttered before walking inside the house without a shred of guilt. This was one last problem to worry about now.
Going upstairs, she went to Noah’s side. He had already been transferred from the couch to the bed where he slept peacefully.
A few minutes later, a doctor arrived and attended to him. Felicity was informed that the drugs weren’t life-threatening and that after a proper rest, Noah would be back to normal.
She finally exhaled in relief, knowing that he would be alright. After the doctor was done with the check-up, he took his leave, leaving lan and Felicity in the room with an unconscious Noah.
“He’s going to be fine. A small drug like that won’t cause him much damage.” lan reassured Felicity when he saw the worry in her eyes.
Felicity gave a small smile in response, running her fingers through Noah’s hair who lay on the bed sound asleep. “It’s my fault. I made him a target.”
Ian let out a slow, controlled breath. His anger had never been directed at Felicity, not really. If only she knew who the real target was. Changing the topic, he asked, “It’s been close to an hour. Do you think a car crash will kill her?”
The grim question hung in the room.
“If it doesn’t, I’ll finish the job myself,” Felicity replied, her voice devoid of emotion.
Ian chuckled, his lips curling into a smile that never quite reached his eyes. He dusted the nonexistent dust from his suit before saying, “While we wait for him to wake up, I’ll attend to other matters around the estate. Just yell when Noah wakes up.” Then he left the room.
By other matters, Felicity knew he meant scolding the guards—guards she hadn’t been made aware of since they all suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
Felicity’s mind wandered to Georgia’s allegations, and then she looked down on Noah’s peaceful face. Her brows kneaded as she recalled how his hands trembled as he pointed his gun at Georgia.
Though she was surprised to see him with a gun, she felt immense joy walking into that scene. Noah had not betrayed her even when his mind was weak and in disarray. He chose to stand by her.
Felicity bent and placed a kiss on his warm forehead. Noah wasn’t a murderer and the excessive guards were just for protection, she convinced herself.
Even if he was a criminal of some sort, she would stand by him just like he stood by her. After all the terrible things he had watched her do, who was she to judge him?
“I’m sorry.” She whispered before sliding into the covers next to him.
Felicity lay there for minutes admiring his features. It wasn’t every day she got to see him half-naked so she utilised the opportunity presented to her. Chuckling to herself, she hugged his stomach and laid her head on his chest, hearing his steady heartbeat.
Very soon, she drifted off to sleep next to him. And woke up some time later when she felt someone kissing on her face.
Her eyes drifted open slowly and a smile grew on her lips when she saw Noah smiling down at her. For some reason, she was now lying on top of him and his hand was gripping her waist, stroking it back and forth.

Chapter 173
“You’re awake.” Felicity breathed a laugh of relief, her sleep clearing from her eyes.
“I’m awake,” Noah affirmed, still grinning. “Did you miss me?”
Felicity rolled her eyes and she would have weaved her hands through his fluffy hair if not for the sling on her arm. The sling was hindering a lot of things and she couldn’t wait to get it off.

Instead, Felicity lifted herself slightly, bringing her lips to meet Noah’s in a passionate kiss. She started slowly, savouring the moment before deepening their embrace, her body moving with instinct, half-straddling him, sitting on his stomach, her lips pressed on his.
Noah was initially taken aback by the sudden kiss, but she quickly eased into it, gripping the sides of her waists to keep her steady and pull her closer to him.
“If getting drugged was what it took for a kiss, I would drugged myself a long time ago,” Noah said, gasping for breath immediately after they parted. The grin on his face widened as this was the first time Felicity had kissed him with so much emotion other than lust. They were making progress. “You must have really missed me.”
Felicity blushed at his words. Just now, she had let her emotions control her into kissing him. “Only a little.” She shrugged indifferently, but the smile on her face betrayed her.
“Only a little?” Noah arched a brow before switching their positions. Now, she was lying on the bed while he was on top. “We have to change that now, don’t we?” He whispered against her lips, his breath teasing her
Unlike hers, Noah’s kiss didn’t start slowly but hungrily. His hands weaved through her hair, pulling her closer as he deepened their kiss, his mouth exploring her mouth in urgency.
Soft moans escaped from Felicity as she tried to match his pace and failed miserably.
Earlier while Georgia was trying to seduce Noah, all he could think about was Felicity under him, screaming his name. He’d wished she was the one desperately trying to get with him. He would have pleased her in a heartbeat.
Noah trailed kisses down along the nape of her neck, biting and sucking. Call it an after-effect of the drug, but he was on a rampage.
“Ouch,” Felicity winced slightly, making him stop. Finally, he came back to his senses and pulled away from her.
“I’m sorry. Am I hurting you?” Noah’s brow furrowed in worry.
“It’s just my injury,” Felicity shook her head. Her wound was still fresh and it hurt when Noah pressed down on her like that, but she didn’t want him to stop because of it. “Ignore it. I want you to kiss me.”
“I would hate to rip your stitches. This is enough for today.” Noah pressed one last kiss on her lips before standing up from the bed, leaving Felicity devastated with want.

But her want soon turned to concern when she noticed the red angry nail marks along his back from Georgia’s scratches. She had not noticed it earlier because he was lying down.
Gasping, she stood up and touched them in disbelief. Tears pricked the corners of her eyes as she asked, “Does it hurt?” Noah didn’t even flinch under her touch. These injuries were nothing to him. He turned to face her. “No, it doesn’t.” Felicity was overcome with rage and she fisted her hand. “I hope she burns in hell.”
Noah didn’t ask what Felicity did to Georgia. He knew he would eventually find out later and didn’t want to ruin the moment
between them.
Instead, he kissed Felicity to get her mind off things. And then kissed her again and again and again.
