Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 172

Chapter 172

Georgia’s face creased into a satisfied smile, relishing the confusion that slipped from Felicity’s face. Even she had been shocked when she discovered Noah’s secret.
She was only supposed to follow Connor after he anxiously left the house that day. She overheard him on the phone saying Felicity was hurt, so she wanted to know more to see if it was information she could use.
To her surprise, Connor met up with Noah. She didn’t know the specifics of what they discussed but this was a golden opportunity for her. It provided a chance for her to spy on Noah..
So when Noah left the hotel, she followed him, careful not to get caught. But instead of going home like she thought, Noah. drove into a suspicious neighbourhood.
She had been apprehensive at first but the thought of learning a juicy secret about him fueled her. And boy was she not disappointed.
After Noah drove into the dark warehouse in the middle of nowhere, she parked a few distance away. She watched for several hours as black vans came and went, dragging beaten, bloodied men in and out of the strange building.
Her first thought was that Noah was involved in human trafficking. But then, as she watched the bodies-five of them, motionless and bloodied-being dragged from one warehouse to another location.
For hours Georgia sat petrified in her car, terrified that even the tiniest movement would give her away and someone would unalive her. She was so scared, she forgot to record what she witnessed. Even if she had remembered to record, she probably wouldn’t have, afraid that the Elsworths might track her down and kill her too.
But looking at Felicity’s face right now, she damned wished she had recorded the warehouse. She would have loved to see Felicity’s crestfallen and heart-wrenching face before she died. Too bad.
“Oh, Georgia. Do you think spouting lies would help you now?” Felicity’s lips tugged into a sneer. “You’re not nearly as clever as you think you are.”
Georgia’s resolve hardened, a strange mixture of defiance and desperation. “I’m not lying!” She insisted, her voice hoarse. “Why would I waste my dying breath trying to trick you?”
“Because that is all you’re good at,” Felicity’s laughter was dry and devoid of humour. “From the moment you stepped into the Orion mansion, you started scheming. I fell into your well laid out trap.”
Georgia’s expression wavered for a moment, the tiniest flicker of guilt and shame flickering across her face before it was swallowed up by defiance. “So what if I did?” she said, her chin jutting up.
“Even after I treated you like a sister, you joined forces with Caster to ruin my life. You watched me fall deeply in love with him while you f**d him at the side. You turned me into a vixen in society and I was too stupid to notice. You think after everything you’ve done, I’ll fall for your lies again? In your wildest dreams.”
Felicity paused and whispered, “You know? I wanted to ask for your last words but it’s obvious you have nothing important to say. Guess what Georgia, even with all your tricks. You’re the one dying today and I get to watch it happen. You lose.”
You asked me, once, why I hated you,” Georgia said, her voice hitching slightly. “I lied that night too. I hated you because you had everything I never had. You were happy, you were cheerful, and it made me sick to my stomach. I hate you because you were born with everything I wanted, and I wanted to take it all away.”
Felicity exhaled unperturbed by Georgia’s answer. Her response was a dispassionate flick of her wrist. She had been curious before but now, she could care less. The words of a dying woman didn’t mean shit to her.
“Good bye, Georgia,” Felicity said coldly. “Drive. Before I kill you myself”

“I won’t give you that satisfaction.” Georgia spat before turning on the ignition of the car.

This was it. She was bleeding out all over the leather of the driver’s seat, smelling like sweat and blood. She had failed.
Throwing one last resentful look at Felicity, Georgia drove out of the estate. That fateful night in the hotel, when she’d set her plan into motion, had been the beginning of the end. And now, she was going to die the way she’d planned to kill Felicity.

It was simply unfair. Just why did that b**h have to live happy ever after while she was going to rot in hell? Why did Felicity get to live the life that always wanted while she ended up with nothing? Why couldn’t she get a happy ever after too?
Georgia’s hands tightened on the wheel as she careened down the highway, the road a blur through her tears. She drove recklessly, blindly, narrowly missing the cars on the road as she went.
“Mom!” She cried, her voice broken with anguish. “Where are you when I need you the most?”
I’m her moment of grief, she pounded on the steering wheel, her knuckles bruising from the blows. And in that moment, she blamed her mother for everything she had to endure. Maybe if she had raised her better, Georgia wouldn’t have ended up in this horrible condition.
She continued crying and trembling even when the car sped of the it’s lane, colliding with two cars on the road before skidding off a bridge. All she could hear was the sound of shrieking metal, shattering glasses, and shattering bones-her bones-as the car tumbled down a slope.
The stench of gasoline and blood-mixed with smoke assaulted her senses. Death, that was
it.
Georgia laid unmoving amidst the carnage, watching the twisted mess of her body in terror.
As she sat there, feeling the life slip out of her. She tried to recall all the happy memories but couldn’t find any. Was she ever truly happy? If she ever was, she couldn’t remember.
A thought raced through her head. What if she had lived differently? What if she hadn’t let herself be consumed by jealousy of Felicity? What if she hadn’t continued under the bad guidance of her mother? Would her life have been better?
Anyways, it was too late for that now. It was too late for regret. She should accept her fate.
“Mom…” was the last word she managed to say before the car engulfed in flames and she smelt as her skin burned with it, followed by her silent screams.
