Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 150

Chapter 150
After finishing her audition, Rita glanced at the time on her phone and frowned when once again, another notification popped up on her screen.
She didn’t have to click on it to know what the article read, she had already been sent dozens of these already.
[Felicity Orion strikes again caught after finally seducing Mister Walker to bed.]
The news was all over the internet since morning and Rita was starting to get sick of it. She hated how the internet had painted Felicity as a vixen-Caster didn’t look very innocent either. Why is the girl always branded?
Rita gazed down at the picture attached to the article. Felicity was holding a blanket over her naked form looking dishevelled, disoriented, and confused. She sneered, hating Felicity even more.
Rita hated Felicity for ending up in a situation like this. Felicity Orion was beautiful, successful, born with a silver spoon that many people longed for but was foolish enough to squander all of it for a man.
Did she know how many girls s***d away every day to be in the prestigious position God had gifted her? How dare she
misuse it?
Rita had barely crawled out from the slums in one piece so it pained her when others misused the position she was dying for. Utterly pathetic.
“How was your audition? I hope it wasn’t difficult.” Rita lifted her head to see who had spoken to her. Georgia Orion, standing there with an innocent expression in her doe eyes while other actresses gawked at her in awe.
Rita arched a brow in interest. What was Georgia doing here and not at home supporting her cousin?
“It was okay.” Rita shrugged before walking away not wanting to start a conversation with Georgia.
If Georgia could come to an audition while her cousin, best friend, was going through hell, then she may not entirely be the angel the internet portrayed her to be.
Taking the elevator to the garage, Rita was desperate to get to her apartment and have a nice sleep. The audition had kept her up practising for days.
Setting sight on her small debilitated Toyota, which looked pitiful compared to the expensive cars around, she was reminded how much she needed to work harder to get the lavish life she desired.
Sighing, she brought out her keys to unlock her car but paused when she suddenly heard footsteps thudding in her direction. She turned to see a dishevelled man racing towards her, his green eyes wide with desperation.
“Get in the car!” He yelled at her.
“What?” Rita asked in confusion, looking around to see if he was referring to someone else but she was the only one there.
“Get in the car now!” He yelled with more intensity.
Rita wanted to ask more questions but she had a feeling that she needed to get out of there fast. So without any further delay, she opened the door and settled into the driver’s seat just as the stranger got into the passenger’s seat.
She didn’t know what he was running from but it must have been serious for him to enter a stranger’s car without question. What if she was a serial killer planning on murdering him in the woods?

made a rumbling noise instead without starting. She whispered before trying again. “Come on, come on.”

“This is not going to work-” Before the man could finish, a gunshot rang through the quiet garage followed by the sound of shattered glass and a groan. “F***k!” He groaned.
Petrified, Rita sat frozen in her seat, watching as blood oozed from the stranger’s arm. Her eyes then trailed to her cracked. windshield and the hooded men pointing guns at them, preparing to shoot.
“F*** drive!”
Rita didn’t need to hear anymore, turning the key once again. This time, it worked and she stepped on the gas pedal, driving towards the gunmen standing in front of her car. She didn’t care if they got hit, she just wanted to leave before they rained. bullets on her again.
Luckily, they jumped out of the way before her car got to them and she immediately sped into the busy highway, fleeing for her life and that of the nameless man who had brought misfortune upon her.
“What the f***k? What the f***k? What the actual F***K!!” Rita rambled, hitting her wheel multiple times in panic.
“Stop that before the car breaks down. We might actually die then. The green-eyed stranger said slowly, his blood dripping on her black leather seat.
“Those men had guns. They shot at us.”
“Yeah, I know.” He groaned, holding his arm close to his body in pain. “Do you have anything I can use to wrap this?”
Eyes on the road, Rita reached to her backseat where some spare clothes lay. She was fond of changing in the car a lot so had some shirts lying around. She picked one. “Use this.”
“Thanks” He replied before ripping the shirt with his teeth.
Rita winced. The shirt had cost a lot of money to buy. She hadn’t even taken a lot of pictures wearing it. Now the blue fal lay red on his arm as he tied it into a knot, securing his wound.
“Now tell me who the hell you are and why those men just tried to kill us.” Rita interrogated, bending from the highway an unfamiliar road.
“Me. They tried to kill me.” The man corrected, managing to muster a grin on his slightly pale handsome face. “As for am, you wouldn’t believe me if I told you,” he answered, eyes sparkling with excitement?
Rita scowled at him. What the hell was so amusing about their situation? What a psychopath! God, what did she do to in a situation like this? All she wanted was to go home and get some sleep.
