“How do you know this person?” Axel and Rita asked at the same time, making Felicity surprised. 

Felicity sensed Noah come and stand behind her, gazing at Axel and Rita with a strange look on his face,

Rita rolled her eyes. “Over you? Please, get over yourself, she replied before turning to Felicity, “I tried following you when you left the theatre but I lost you and bumped into this idiot over here” she explained, pointing at Axel who looked like he was ready to punch her. 

Felicity crossed her arms. “You wanted to congratulate me? That sounds like you.”

“Really? Are you going to find Georgia too and congratulate her?” Felicity snickered lightly. 

“I just might.” Rita shrugged at the taunt, brushing a strand of hair from her face. Her gaze landed on Noah, standing beside Felicity, in curiosity. It wasn’t the first time she had seen him as she had gotten a glimpse of him once when he picked Felicity up from the set. 

The aura Noah exuded frightened her a little, making her too scared to pry for his identity. Felicity’s life was none of ber business anyway. 

Honestly, the reason she bothered to stalk Felicity out of the theatre was because she was curious about what happened to Georgia on stage. Rita had witnessed, Felicity’s.cunningness and retaliation, so she guessed Felicity had sabotaged Georgia Sighing, she gripped her own award in her hand, throwing a stink eye at Axel before sauntering off. 

“Watch your back…” Axel called out behind Rita but trailed off when he realised his action was strange. Why would he care whether she watched her back or not? 

Watching Rita go, a complicated expression formed on his face and for some reason, he was itching to go after her, as if something bad would happen if he didn’t 

“Are you alright, Axel? You are acting weird,” Noah placed a hand on his shoulder. “What’s up?” 

“I don’t know. I just feel..” Axel couldn’t explain what he was feeling. A deep sense of regret weighed on his heart. immediately he had set eyes on Rita this evening which was unusual since they had not met before. “Never mind. It’s nothing.” He decided to brush it off. 

Meanwhile, Felicity frowned as she recalled an earlier thought she had. During Rita’s award, she had felt something off with the scene, she didn’t know what it was then but she remembered now. 

In her past life, Rita didn’t receive an award. In fact, Rita didn’t make it into the casting of Daunting Lullaby and that was why Felicity couldn’t recognize her the first time they met.

Instantly, it clicked and Felicity darted her gaze to Axel who still had a tinge of remorse written on his face. She gasped, her brows shooting up in shock. Could it be…

“Who knows? You might be able to save her this time. Felicity blurted out subconsciously, taking both herself and Axel aback. Why did she say that? 

Hearing Felicity’s words, something triggered in Axel. He turned on his heels and ran down the hall, looking for Rita. 

“What’s going on?” Noah asked, confused. He felt like they were having a secret conversation that they didn’t want him to listen to. 

“We should go too.” Felicity’s voice was laced with a tinge of urgency as she bundled up her gown and stormed to the direction both Axel and Rita took off too. She had a feeling she wouldn’t want to miss whatever would transpire. 

Noah trailed behind her wordlessly as their trail led them to an underground garage. They got there just in time to see Axel pulling Rita out of the way as a car brushed past her, missing her by an inch. 

The gold award in Rita’s hand fell with a loud clatter as Axel’s arm wrapped around her waist tightly. With his heart pounding loudly, she heard him whisper, “It’s fine. You’re fine. I didn’t come late this time.”
