Chapter 145
The day everyone had been waiting for finally arrived. It was time for the annual Best Actress Award. The internet was abuzz and fams who couldn’t be present physically were planning on connecting online.
The Awards was the only event that had more buzz than the Princeton gala. It was a night packed with drama and suspense, tears and laughs. It determined who the next big celebrity would be and no one wanted to miss it.
Felicity had dressed to impress, going all out. In the awards, only the best fashion trends were allowed except you wanted to be tagged by the media as underdressed the next morning.
Since she was going there to win, she decided to put on a bold colour, red.
Felicity was putting on a royal crimson cherry dress. It was a long, off-shoulder dress with a sweetheart neckline and a fitted bodice that flared out into a full skirt. The skirt had a few layers of tulle, which created a slightly voluminous silhouette.
There were flowers along the bodice made from silk, and also a slit that ran up, exposing her thighs. On her neck sat an expensive white pearl necklace with matching earrings and bracelet.
Underneath her dress, she was putting on a pair of platinum stilettos that resembled glass. Her hair was braided into a bun with a red rose at the back, completing her elegant look for the evening. Felicity couldn’t even recognize herself after her makeup was done.
“My masterpiece.” Vicky sniffed from the side as she watched Felicity. Her work had finally come to life.
This is truly beautiful,” Felicity said in awe at her reflection. It was the best she had looked this year. She was surely making the headlines with this look, Felicity thought with a wide grin on her face.
“I know right,” Vicky answered with a proud smile. “This may be the best dress I have made. You look like a fire fairy.”
“Fire fairy?” Felicity arched her brow amused.
“Blood fairy?” Vicky tried again and Felicity nodded in approval.
“That’s better because I’m going to make a lot of people bleed tonight,” Felicity murmured to herself, giving herself one last look in the mirror before checking the time on her phone. She sighed before saying, “Vicky, I can’t thank you enough for this. How about dinner sometime? Or a day at the beach? Whatever you want.”
Vicky shuddered at the mention of beaches. “I hate beaches but free food won’t hurt. I’ll tell you when I’m free. We should catch up.”
“We should.” Felicity nodded.
“Good because Noah’s waiting downstairs and I wouldn’t want you to be late,” Vicky informed her before adding, “Not after all the work I’ve put in.”
Felicity chuckled.
Just then a loud honk was heard from the window, making Felicity roll her eyes. She had gone to Vicky’s to get ready since it would be easier, though Noah had strongly disapproved.
According to him, he wanted to be the first one to see her dress. But Felicity decided to go to Vicky’s anyway. It doesn’t matter if he was the second person to see her look for the night. But Noah was still angry about her decision.
“I better get going. I’ll see you later.” Felicity said as she went downstairs to see her husband. Noah was waiting at the entrance, dressed sharply in a tuxedo which made Felicity pause in anticipation.
“Are you coming to the awards too?” She asked, her eyes wide.

Chapter 143
“No I have a meeting Noah replied bluntly, before giving her once over. An indescribable look flashed in his eyes as fie took in her look. She was simply bewitching “You look breathtaking” He said, breathlessly. Yes, she had taken his breath
away.
Thank you. You don’t look bad yourself for a meeting” She threw him a nod before linking hands with him. “Shall we?”
“Sure,” Noah answered, leading her to his Tesla. “Bye, V” He waved at Vicky who waved back at them before entering the car and zooming off.
Silence reigned in the car for a while as Felicity watched the passing scenery. Finally, she asked, “What’s the problem?”
“What are you talking about?” Noah asked, his gaze still focused on the road.
“This,” Felicity pointed at him in frustration. “Why are you so moody? Is it because you didn’t see my dress first?”
Noah glanced at her before looking away. “No.”
Felicity shook her head. “You’re really mad because I dressed up at Vicky’s.”
“Of course, I’m upset. Why did you have to go all the way there? She could have come to the estate.” Noah pouted slightly with an aggrieved expression on his face.
“You’re unbelievable,” Felicity answered, too tired to quell his tantrums. “A lot of people are going to see the dress tonight. Why does it matter?”
“You won’t get it.” Noah frowned looking away from her.
Felicity huffed as she returned her gaze to the window just as he took a bend into a street. Her forehead kneaded. “This isn’t the way to the Awards.”
“I know. We are making a stop first.” Noah answered.
“Where?”
“You’ll see.”
Felicity sighed, leaning on her seat. They drove for a few distance before he parked at the side of the road. Felicity looked at the dark road with confusion and worry.
Noah stepped out of the car and she followed behind him. “What are we doing here…” she trailed off as Noah gestured to something behind her.
Turning, Felicity was met with an unexpected sight. “Oh my, gosh.” She gasped before turning to Noah in excitement. “Is that for me?”
Seeing her happy face, Noah forgot his earlier gr
