Chapter 11
“Caster and I were only at the hotel to drop you-” Another slap echoed throughout the
room.
Georgia’s face was now red and swollen.
“Stop lying. I returned to my apartment immediately after the part as I mentioned yesterday. If you really went to drop me off, why am I not in the photos? How come nobody noticed me? If you keep lying to me, I won’t be able to forgive you.” Felicity sobbed as she spoke.
Connor huffed, annoyed by the commotion. He had thrown this party to dispel a rumour, but now another one had surfaced: “This is why I warned you to avoid that man. The Walker family is full of snakes,” He shook his head in disapproval, “Georgia, you should apologise to Felicity. Drunk or sober, what you did was wrong and shameful.”
Georgia didn’t budge from her place. She had no intention of apologizing to Felicity, in this life or the next. What had she done wrong that she had to bow her head to Felicity?
She clenched her fist and cursed Felicity in her heart. Felicity was meant to experience all of this, but she managed to get away. Was it a coincidence that this misfortune befell her the very next day?
When Patricia noticed Georgia was acting defiant, she grabbed her daughter’s shoulders. and shook her. Although it made her blood boil that they had to apologise to that spoiled brat, there was no choice this time.
“Apologise to Felicity now!” Patricia said through clenched teeth, digging her fingers. into Georgia’s shoulders.
However, Georgia still refused to open her mouth. Seeing her daughter’s ridiculous behaviour, Patricia slapped some sense into her, “I. Said. Apologise.”
Georgia clutched her stinging cheek and stared at her mother, shocked. Her mother had spoiled her since she was born. She had never raised her hands to Georgia before, but because of Felicity, her mother did today. Tears streamed down her face.
Her face darkened, and she balled her hands into fists and gritted her teeth. She had to lower her head to conceal the rage on her face, “Forgive me, Felicity.” She muttered, swearing in her heart that she would punish Felicity for this humiliation.

Chapter 11
Felicity nearly kicked her legs with excitement. She felt giddy inside as she watched Georgia bow her head to her.
“Oh, what am I doing?” Felicity’s face was clouded with remorse as she jumped to her feet and rushed to help Georgia off the floor, Stand up, I forgive you. As Aunty said, we can not let this family split because of a man.”
Felicity received appreciative looks from everyone in the room for her actions. Who didn’t love a child who would sacrifice her happiness for peace in the family?
Felicity drew Georgia into a hug and wiped her tears. She turned to her father and implored, “Daddy, please, don’t punish Georgia for her mistake after all she might be pregnant. It would be your grandchild too even if it is born out of wedlock.”
Connor was a traditional man, and no matter how much he despised the Walker family, they had to accept responsibility for defiling his niece. This was one of the reasons he offered Caster Felicity’s hand in marriage in her previous life. He believed that a woman should marry whoever touched her.
Everyone began to wonder if Georgia was really pregnant. Didn’t that mean her acting
career was over?
At this point, Georgia was unable to speak. Caster and she have always used protections: but she couldn’t say that or her excuse of being drunk wouldn’t hold.
Connor concluded, “I am so sorry everyone but the party is over,” he announced.
With that people obediently started leaving the residence. It was a shame they couldn’t see the end of the drama.
When the room was empty, Connor said, “I will talk to the Walkers and set up an engagement between you and Caster. They must take responsibility for what they have. done to you.”
“What?!” Patricia scowled in disapproval.
Why would her daughter marry that man while Felicity is being pursued by the Elsworths? Never. Georgia would never lose like that. “Georgia will not be engaged to that family.”
She also despised the Walker family. The feud between the families dated back several generations. If she had known her daughter was messing around with Caster, she would have stopped her. She was not aware.

“Georgia can’t be pregnant. She isn’t dumb enough to not use protection, right?” She gave Georgia a pointed look, and Georgia frantically nodded her head, “Let us just let the rumors die down.” Nobody will remember this in a month. We can’t ruin her life because of one mistake.
“Even if she isn’t pregnant, it doesn’t change the fact that she is no longer pure. How will her husband respect her in the future? Caster has to take responsibility for this.”
“Please, brother, if Georgia marrics into that family, she will be mistr ted. Who cares about virginity these days? Half of the girls in this city are no longer virgins, they chose to hide their immoral ways. Georgia is unlucky. Let this slide this one time, I beg of
you.”
It was a fact that Connor doted on his step-sister. Felicity knew he was easily swayed by her words. She could tell by the look on his face that her father was about to give in.
“Fine, but Georgia needs to lay low for a while and let this blow over.”
Felicity was disappointed. Since those two loved each other so much, she wanted to get them engaged. She wanted Georgia to suffer the same fate she had suffered at the hands of the Walker family.
But alas, her witty aunt had ruined her plans.
Patricia thanked Connor before leading a dazed Georgia out of the living room. Before she left, she heard words that made her blood boil and her teeth clench.
“Felicity, have you considered the Elsworth family’s proposal yet?” Connor asked his daughter.
All of this talk about marriage reminded him of Elsworth’s proposal, which he had yet to respond to.
Felicity froze in her spot. How could her father bring that up in a situation like this? She didn’t come here to talk about marriage.
She shook her head, “I’m still not getting engaged.”
“At the least, meet the young man.
Π
I’m not interested,” Felicity said leaving no room for argument, “I will take my leave, Daddy. I have to rest.”

Connor didn’t stop her and watched her leave, downcast.
Those Walker families were truly evil, he thought as he went up to his study. He was
going to make them pay for messing with his family.
Meanwhile, in her car, Felicity called Lilian.
“Thank you very much. It was a success.” Felicity said.
