Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 104

Chapter 104
Before the day ended, Felicity had already made the headlines as the most benevolent
And best boss of the year.
dappeared someone had recorded the incident and posted it on the internet. Felicity wasn’t flattered in the least. She was trying to try to keep het hesil low in the meantime, but now all media outlers were focused on her
Soon they would spot the injury on her hand, which the recording had failed to capture, and start asking questions. Questions she wasn’t too keen on answering
And only God knows if that **rd, Kagen, would be watching. The thought sent chills down her spine.
Well, on the bright side, her current benevolent reputation was attracting more investors than ever. Some shareholders even called to congratulate her on her ‘splendid behaviour.
What nobody knew was that Felicity hadn’t done that to gain favour from anyone. At the end of the day, she would have fired the young woman if her boyfriend hadn’t been a misogynistic b**d who reminded Felicity of when she was s**ng away for Caster. That resemblance was the only reason she helped the pitiful woman, even when she was itching to write her a final check for disturbing a workspace.
When the day was over, she took a direct elevator to the garage and secretly left the premises with the aid of Noah, bypa***ng all the p**i waiting for a photo of her.
“How was work!” Noah asked, driving.
Like you don’t know about it already. It’s all over the news.” Felicity muttered. With her phone on her lap, she rapidly scrolled through it with one finger from her good hand. Looking at the good ratings she was getting, she wondered if it was enough to change her father’s mind to let her stay at the company.
“Yeah, it’s making waves,” Noah teased. “Who knew my wife was that good? And powerful? You pinned that man on the floor with one kick. Some are calling you Iron Lady.”
“He was drunk!” Felicity rolled her eyes. People had strange thoughts sometimes, didn’t they?
Noah chuckled and silently drove for a while before speaking up again, “I’m quite curious about one thing though.” “Whar
“Why did you give Malcus a promotion?” Noah’s question was strange making her furrow her brows. She finally withdrew her eyes from her phone and gazed at him.
“Who is Malcus?” She blurted out in confusion before a realisation dawned on her. After watching Noah for a second, a small smile tugged at her lips, “Are you jealous, Mr. Elsworth?”
“Yes,” Noah blurted, not even trying to hide his feelings. “Why didn’t you give the lady a promotion? I think she needed it more. But instead, you gave the guy? He isn’t that good-looking anyway.” He whispered the last part like an aggrieved child.
Felicity tried to stifle her laughter but couldn’t. Finally, her body jerked as a melodious wound slipped from her lips. It was so contagious that Noah couldn’t help but smile at himself.
“I didn’t give him a promotion because he was good-looking, I did it because he was the only one who actually stood up for me. The rest just stood watching this show. It’s right to reward good behaviour, don’t you think?” She explained with a smile
“Yeah, I guess,” Noah started, “But I help you out all the time. Why haven’t you given me a promotion too? Don’t you think I deserve a reward too for my good behaviour?”
Felicity’s face went blank for a moment at the dirty thoughts that entered her head at his statement. She quickly shook them off before Noah could notice, and pretended to think, tapping her chin as she hummed out loud.

Chapter 101
Noah had helped het tremendously in the past months they ve get. In fact, he had started helping her right from the very beginning without thinking theor
She noticed she had never done anything significant for him. She always told him that she owed him but had never attempted to repoy any of the fours. With that revelation, her shoulders slumped in disappointment. Not disappointed at him, but for herself.
Though Feheity didn’t want to be good and show weakness, this teas simply her being ungrateful, and it stung
“What’s wrong?” Noah asked, noticing her changed mood. He started panicking. “Is your w yourself too much today. Should I call the doctor again? Why am I asking. I should call the

But his rants were cut short when Felicity chuckled. He paused and gazed at her comically. “Why are you laughing?
Felicity shook her head at him before replying, “You behave like a mother hen sometimes.”
“Seriously? Mother hen? That’s what I remind you of? And not a loyal while wolf or a fierce tiger.” He asked with a playful
tone
Felicity shook her head, “No. Mother hen
“Wow” He placed a hand on his broad chest, “I’m kind of hurt.”
Felicity laughed, striking him on the arm playfully, not too hard so he would concentrate on the road. She would hate for them to die because of her. Rebecca would probably come to the underworld to murder her again for killing her son
What are you thinking about?” Noah’s voice woke her as he gently tapped her forehead with his free hand, eyes still on the road
“Nothing,” Felicity shrugged, before turning sideways to get a clear look at him. Tilting her head to the side, she asked, “What are the things you like?”
“What?” Noah was stunned by the unexpected question.
“I said, what are the things you like?” Felicity repeated.
“You,” Noah blurted but Felicity hit his arm again.
“I’m serious.
“Okay,” Noah answered somewhat unsure as he gave her a questioning look. He decided to answer anyway, “I like strawberries.”
Felicity’s eyes lit up at the revelation, “Oh, really? That’s unexpected.”
“Why is it unexpected?”
Felicity shrugged, “I don’t know. I just thought you’d like a more manlier and brooding fruit.”
Noah couldn’t contain his bewilderment, it was written all over his face, “Such a fruit exists?” He asked, genuinely curious.
“Now that I think of it, I’m not sure,” Felicity muttered to herself before laughing at her own st**y. Brooding fruit? Why did she think of that anyway?
“So, you think I’m brooding and manly?” Noah wiggled his brow like lan always did, an action Felicity found so cute that she turned red. Catching her reflection from the driver’s mirror, she was further embarrassed.
What exactly was this man doing to her?
