Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 22

Seraphina glanced around the apartment once more, her brow furrowing slightly. She opened her laptop, logged into a real estate platform, and listed the property for sale.

Once that was handled, she grabbed her keys and purse, and pushed the door open to leave.

She needed to go back to her own place. She had zero desire to stay here where everything disgusted her, but she wasn't about to let someone else get off easy, either.

Returning to her apartment, she took in her familiar surroundings. It wasn't as luxurious as Laurel Heights, but it put her at ease.

She took a hot shower and collapsed onto her bed.

Thinking about everything that had happened today still brought a sharp ache to her chest.

But before she could dwell on it, her phone chimed with a new email.

Seraphina opened it, her eyes instantly lighting up.

It was a notification that her resume had passed the initial screening, inviting her for an interview.

The Cole Group.

The Cole Group in Northport, headquartered in the Capital, was the most powerful business empire in the region. Their industries spanned the globe, and while jewelry design was just a small division, it was still considered top-tier in the industry.

Getting into The Cole Group was the dream of countless designers.

And she had actually passed the screening.

She replied to the email, locked her phone, turned off the lights, and forced herself to sleep.

She had a lot to accomplish and absolutely no time to wallow in self-pity.

The next day.

Seraphina arrived at the Cole building right on time.

It was located in the most prime district of Northport.

Standing outside, she looked up at the towering structure, took a deep breath, and walked in.

In the lobby, she explained her purpose to the receptionist, and a staff member escorted her up to the twenty-third floor, straight to the interview department.

Three people sat in the interview room.

Two women and one man, all dressed in sharp suits with stern expressions.

The woman in the middle, wearing glasses, looked up and gave Seraphina a thorough once-over.

"Ms. Sinclair, we've reviewed your resume. Jewelry design major, top of your class for four consecutive years."
