The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 532

The color drained from Tallulah's face. Humiliated, she turned on her heel and practically fled the conference room.

Watching her retreat, Giselle smiled gracefully. She had met Yulen Locke before—he was a handsome, highly successful man. It was a shame he was anchored to such an unimpressive wife.

Desperate to see Yulen, Tallulah requested a meeting but was flatly denied. Left with no other option, she hovered in the executive lounge, waiting to ambush him during his lunch break.

When noon finally rolled around, Yulen walked out, flanked by Camille and Giselle. He didn't even glance in Tallulah's direction.

She rushed forward to intercept him, but Camille smoothly stepped into her path, blocking her while Yulen and Giselle kept walking.

Camille shoved her into a nearby breakroom and shut the door.

"You can't just burn the bridge after crossing it," Tallulah hissed through gritted teeth. "Fine, maybe I couldn't fix this specific project issue, but I've bled for this company before!"

Camille looked at her with icy detachment. "Go home, rest up, and have the baby. The Locke family will write you a very generous check, and then you'll quietly divorce Yulen."

"Never!" Tallulah's eyes widened in furious disbelief. "He loves me. We're having a child together. There's no way we're getting a divorce."

"You've outlived your usefulness," Camille replied flatly. "The only person who can pull Locke Group out of this crisis is Giselle. I'm going to set them up."

"Yulen doesn't even care about her! How can you actively try to destroy our marriage?!" Tallulah was on the verge of a total breakdown.

Camille rolled her eyes. "Yulen used to be deeply in love with Winona, and you still managed to steal his ring. Besides, Giselle is gorgeous, brilliant, and impeccably connected. He'll fall for her easily. What this family needs right now is a capable wife who can navigate us through this disaster. You failed the audition. Giselle is the only one who fits the bill."

Once again, the sheer ruthless pragmatism of the Locke family slapped Tallulah in the face. To them, human beings were only as valuable as the leverage they provided.

Her eyes stung with angry tears. "I am never handing my husband over to anyone. I will not sign divorce papers."

Camille let out a careless laugh. "It's not really up to you anymore. If you cause another scene at the office, I'll have security ban you from the building entirely."

At the lunch table, Giselle easily picked up on Camille's heavy-handed matchmaking attempts. Inwardly, she scoffed.
