Stefan took her hand, his thumb tracing her knuckles. "I had my people pull the security footage from the hotel entrance, but someone beat us to it. The Locke family got to it first."

Winona's expression tightened. Without that footage, proving her innocence was going to be an uphill battle.

Stefan gently squeezed her hand. "Don't worry. I remembered there are city traffic cameras across the street. I called in a favor with a friend at the precinct, and they're pulling the footage from that exact timeframe."

Winona's eyes lit up with a sudden realization. "We need to get our hands on Tallulah's prenatal records. She desperately wanted this second baby to secure her place in Yulen's life, regardless of how much it wrecked her health. She wouldn't just throw that away to frame me. There has to be a medical reason."
