The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 517

The moment Winona stepped out of the boutique, Tallulah sneered. "Winona, you are unbelievably vain. A boutique like this is lightyears out of your tax bracket. The clothes in those bags aren't yours, are they? You're just fetching them for Mrs. Powell."

Winona couldn't even be bothered to explain. Without sparing Tallulah a single glance, she turned to walk away.

Tallulah had been swallowing endless humiliation at the Locke estate lately. She had truly believed that by stealing Yulen and taking Winona's place, she would finally live a life of complete financial freedom and luxury.

Instead, she discovered that the Locke family was a nightmare to deal with. Now, her career was in ruins, her marriage was a warzone, and her life was a mess—it was honestly worse than before she got married.

Meanwhile, Winona had walked away from the Locke family, hooked up with Stefan Goddard, and was living a far more glamorous and liberated life than ever before.

It wasn't fair.

It shouldn't be like this! Tallulah was supposed to be the one living the enviable high life, while Winona was supposed to be left broke and destitute.

Driven by pure hysteria, Tallulah lunged forward and grabbed Winona's arm.

"You've been badmouthing me to Yulen, haven't you?! That's the only reason he's treating me like this!"

In Tallulah's mind, everything was Winona's fault. Winona was the one destroying her happiness.

She wanted to strangle her.

Winona looked at her like she belonged in an asylum. She firmly grabbed Tallulah's wrist. If Tallulah wasn't pregnant, Winona wouldn't have hesitated to throw her to the pavement.

Ezra immediately stepped in, pinning Tallulah's arms to her sides so she couldn't move an inch.

Winona turned to Ezra. "Take her to the hospital. Get her a full-body scan and document that she doesn't have a single scratch on her. The last thing I need is her trying to extort me for assault."

As Winona's primary bodyguard, Ezra couldn't leave her side, so he signaled Waldo to handle it.

Waldo dragged Tallulah to the nearest hospital, forced her through a comprehensive check-up, and only left once the perfectly clean medical report was in his hands.

Tallulah was furious, having been marched around like a puppet by Waldo the entire time. But because she had rushed out of the house without her own security, she didn't have the power to resist.

When she finally got back to the Locke estate, she was seething. Everything in her life felt cursed.

Seeing her storm in with a thunderous expression, Willow scoffed. "You walk through that door every day with a miserable look on your face. Anyone watching would think we torture you here. You sit around the house all day doing absolutely nothing while the staff waits on you hand and foot. What exactly do you have to be so dramatic about?"

Tallulah hadn't realized her mother-in-law would now start policing her facial expressions too.

Refusing to engage in another screaming match, she muttered a cold, "Mom," and stomped upstairs to her bedroom.
