The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 443

"It was over between us the moment I moved out a year ago," Winona stated coldly.

Yulen finally grasped the reason behind her icy demeanor over the past twelve months.

But he absolutely refused to believe she had truly moved on.

"Winona..."

He reached out to grab her hand, but Stefan easily shoved him back.

"Your wife is in her room, Mr. Locke. Kindly refrain from harassing my girlfriend."

Hearing the word girlfriend, Yulen stared at Winona in disbelief. "You're just doing this to get back at me, aren't you?"

He couldn't fathom that she and Stefan were genuinely together. Stefan could have any woman in the world; why would he fight Yulen for Winona?

Seeing him still completely wrapped up in his own delusions, Winona didn't bother engaging further. She took Stefan's hand and walked away.

Yulen tried to go after them, but Ezra and Waldo instantly blocked his path.

"She has no interest in speaking with you. Have some dignity, Mr. Locke," Ezra warned coldly.

Yulen's expression turned murderous, but he eventually backed down and returned to Tallulah's room.

Seeing him come back, Tallulah beamed.

She knew it. He couldn't let her go.

She was younger, and she had given him a son. There was no way he wouldn't choose her.

"I'm not like her, Yulen. I don't care who else you have in your heart. As long as you come home to me, I'll always be waiting."

Yulen's gaze cooled. "You're a mother now, not a little girl. You need to learn how to be mature and prioritize the company's interests. How are you supposed to help me raise Stanley if you don't even respect my work? How is he going to be my heir with that kind of example?"

Being with him often felt more like dealing with a demanding boss than an equal partner. She was always the one bending backward to please him.

But she was too in love to risk pushing him away, so she swallowed her frustration.

"I know. I'll stop being difficult. Go to work. Don't worry about me."

Satisfied with her compliance, Yulen nodded and left the room.

The moment he was gone, Tallulah unleashed her pent-up rage on the nanny. "I told you to wash the grapes! Why did you bring me blueberries? Are you stupid? If you can't do your job right, get the hell out!"

The nanny clamped her mouth shut, deeply aggrieved. Tallulah had specifically asked for blueberries not ten minutes ago.
