After listening to Terry, Max didn't ask any further questions and shifted the topic to work matters.
Over the next two days, Max didn't contact her. Naturally, Felicia wasn't going to reach out to him either. She went about her daily routine, focusing on her work. Unsurprisingly, without him messing with her emotions, her work and life were exceptionally peaceful and comfortable. With Anne by her side, she found herself wishing things could stay like this forever.
That day, Felicia received a call from the front desk downstairs.
"Hello, there's a delivery here for you that requires your signature."
Felicia was confused. She hadn't bought anything online. "What is it?" she asked.
"It's a bouquet of roses and a beautifully wrapped gift box," the receptionist replied.
Hearing this, Felicia paused for a moment. "I understand."
She sat at her desk for a while before heading downstairs. The moment she arrived, she immediately spotted the massive, glaringly red bouquet of roses resting on the front desk. Employees and clients passing by couldn't help but steal glances at it. The neatly dressed delivery worker was standing off to the side, waiting.
Felicia walked over. The deliveryman saw her. "Are you Ms. Ross?"
"I am."
"Please sign here to accept the delivery."
Felicia looked at the delivery slip he handed her and signed her name. "Could you do me a favor and deliver these flowers to the security gate at my residential complex? Just leave them with the guards." She absolutely couldn't carry a bouquet like that back into the office.
"Sure, no problem."
As for the other box, Felicia decided to take it upstairs first. Just as she turned to leave, she heard someone call out. "Felicia."
Felicia stopped in her tracks. She turned around and saw Darin walking toward her.
Darin's gaze swept briefly over the roses in the deliveryman's hands before he approached Felicia. He stopped in front of her and looked her up and down. Compared to before, she had genuinely lost a lot of weight, and her face looked even smaller. "How have you been lately?" he asked.
Felicia looked up at him. "I've been doing well."
After a long pause, Felicia finally asked, "Why didn't you let Savannah know you were coming?"
Darin hesitated for a second. "She's probably busy."
Felicia turned to look at him. "Did you ask her?"
"No," Darin answered honestly.
Felicia let out a soft sigh, not knowing what to say. Right now, he felt like a block of wood to her, rigid and inflexible.
"Should I ask her later, then?" he added.
He sounded as if he were asking for Felicia's permission.
Felicia stared at him. "Do you not have a mind of your own?"

Take her back? Want to see her?? Donno about Felicia but I think I’m falling for this Max somehow🫠🙈pls update daily...
I knew it! Hopefully Felicia's health will improve and will want to have the baby. Oh how I despise Max's family....
Please post *I forgot I ever loved you*...
Is this coming to an end...
Oh nooo!! Don’t tell me Max will get washed ashore on a remote island then loses all his memory, then falls inlove with the local girl who saves him. Then when he meets Felicia again he won’t recognize her and breaks her heart again. Additional plot twist is that Felicia is pregnant with their 2nd child. Please pleaseee don’t give us this scenario.. LOL!!!...
If Max can be forgiven Darrin can be forgiven. And I do not like this marriage business but if it has to happen I hope after he gets stranded on some remote island alone while Felicia and his family fight over custody she wins and also gets half his estate. Then by time he comes back she's found having and remarried. Lol...
The writer is good. They're making me interested in Max. I won't say like yet....
It seems the only one who hasn't suffered is Max. Even his family fakes anger and disappointment all their own doing so they suffer a little. Everyone else has suffered. Luke and Jeremy unrequited. Felicia has suffered the most from family to unrequited to romance to long suffering Mother. Even baby Anne never had a mother til Felicia suffered then came back only to suffer some more. lol...
Oh no what did Colton do?... I have a bone to pick. When Olisha had to go the hospital why beg for Felicia? When she so loved Max? Seemed like she was in on the setup for Felicia to see a suicide for the 2nd time orchestrated by holden and his brother again. I might drop this series it's becoming endless with no real satisfaction for me. I don't need it to end because it's like a soap opera but if things don't end up making sense, tying up loose storylines it's gonna get old fast for me. Good luck author....
Anne, I think your baby brother is on the way. Thank goodness it doesn't say that Felicia is crying just like the last time but still, there's no willingness on her part. Max! You need to try harder. Make her fall in love with you again....
