After breakfast, Felicia stepped out of her room. Noticing the door opposite hers firmly shut, she walked over and knocked. When no response came from within, she decided not to press the issue and let her hand fall.
Inside the room, Ivy lay on her bed in a groggy daze. Her eyes were swollen from a sleepless night following the phone call with Jeffrey. The realization that he had silently allowed her to come here just to give her a chance to grow closer to Jeremy left a bitter, aching sensation washing over her heart.
Over the past few years, quite a few prominent families had approached them with marriage proposals. A strategic alliance would undoubtedly bring immense benefits to the Manning family, and she had always assumed her future would inevitably be tied to an arranged marriage. Yet, her brother had rejected every single suitor. That was until the Hawthorne family reached out. Jeffrey had asked her to get to know Luke Hawthorne first.
Luke was undeniably a good man, but after the incident involving Willa, she had gotten into a heated argument with her brother. She had spoken harsh words, making it abundantly clear that there was zero possibility between her and Luke. What had Jeffrey's reaction been back then? He had remained infuriatingly calm, said absolutely nothing, and simply arranged for her to be sent abroad. At the time, she had felt nothing but endless grievance and a suffocating frustration she could not vent. But when exactly had her brother figured out her true feelings? The cruelest irony was that Jeremy did not feel that way about her at all. How on earth was she supposed to seize this so-called opportunity?
Downstairs, Felicia walked into the living room to find Jeremy seated comfortably, reading the morning paper. "Good morning, Jeremy," she greeted him warmly.
Jeremy looked up at her. After the first two days after losing her memory when she had seemed completely out of sorts, she now looked visibly more radiant. Perhaps amnesia was not entirely a bad thing for her. He slowly folded the newspaper and set it aside.
Taking a seat on the sofa, Felicia asked, "Jeremy, when will we be able to leave this place?" Her intuition told her that if he truly wanted to leave, he could easily make it happen.
Sensing her sudden urgency, Jeremy asked, "Did you remember something?"
Felicia shook her head. "No."
She paused for a moment before looking at him with searching eyes. "Jeremy, do I have a daughter?"

Take her back? Want to see her?? Donno about Felicia but I think I’m falling for this Max somehow🫠🙈pls update daily...
I knew it! Hopefully Felicia's health will improve and will want to have the baby. Oh how I despise Max's family....
Please post *I forgot I ever loved you*...
Is this coming to an end...
Oh nooo!! Don’t tell me Max will get washed ashore on a remote island then loses all his memory, then falls inlove with the local girl who saves him. Then when he meets Felicia again he won’t recognize her and breaks her heart again. Additional plot twist is that Felicia is pregnant with their 2nd child. Please pleaseee don’t give us this scenario.. LOL!!!...
If Max can be forgiven Darrin can be forgiven. And I do not like this marriage business but if it has to happen I hope after he gets stranded on some remote island alone while Felicia and his family fight over custody she wins and also gets half his estate. Then by time he comes back she's found having and remarried. Lol...
The writer is good. They're making me interested in Max. I won't say like yet....
It seems the only one who hasn't suffered is Max. Even his family fakes anger and disappointment all their own doing so they suffer a little. Everyone else has suffered. Luke and Jeremy unrequited. Felicia has suffered the most from family to unrequited to romance to long suffering Mother. Even baby Anne never had a mother til Felicia suffered then came back only to suffer some more. lol...
Oh no what did Colton do?... I have a bone to pick. When Olisha had to go the hospital why beg for Felicia? When she so loved Max? Seemed like she was in on the setup for Felicia to see a suicide for the 2nd time orchestrated by holden and his brother again. I might drop this series it's becoming endless with no real satisfaction for me. I don't need it to end because it's like a soap opera but if things don't end up making sense, tying up loose storylines it's gonna get old fast for me. Good luck author....
Anne, I think your baby brother is on the way. Thank goodness it doesn't say that Felicia is crying just like the last time but still, there's no willingness on her part. Max! You need to try harder. Make her fall in love with you again....
