Felicia followed Jeremy toward the ticket checkpoint.
As they were about to enter, Jeremy cast a cold, sideways glance at a figure walking into the cinema lobby. The man stood in place, exuding a calm and composed aura that clearly indicated professional training. He watched their retreating backs but didn't follow them inside. Instead, he found a seat in the public rest area and casually picked up a promotional flyer to browse.
The movie hadn't ended yet when Jeremy went to the restroom and stepped into the lobby. The man sitting on the bench instantly noticed him. He looked up sharply, only to see Jeremy walking straight toward him. He stood up.
Jeremy stopped right in front of him. His handsome face was dark, his eyes sharp and piercing. The man tensed up, meeting his gaze.
"Tell Max that Felicia is not his surveillance target. And you'd better stop following her," Jeremy warned before turning around and walking back into the theater.
The man watched him leave, his heart racing with guilt and anxiety. After hesitating for a moment, he walked out of the cinema, took out his phone, and dialed Max's number. The ringing tone felt like repeated strikes against his chest.
The call connected. "Hello," the man said.
"Mr. Hawthorne," the man reported truthfully. "I apologize. Mr. Milman spotted me."
Upon hearing this, Max's voice dropped an octave. "Are they together right now?"
"Yes, they're at the cinema." After he said this, the line fell silent. The man could feel a suffocating pressure radiating through the phone.
Max hung up.
Inside the theater, Jeremy had just returned to his seat. He asked Felicia about the part of the plot he had missed. As she was speaking to him in a low voice, her phone suddenly vibrated. She pulled it out of her bag. Seeing the caller ID, she rejected the call immediately and sent a text message: What is it?
Max replied instantly: Why aren't you answering my call? What are you doing?
Jeremy looked at her from the side and asked, "What did Max say?"
Felicia picked up her drink and took a sip. She took a deep breath to calm herself down before answering, "He's out of his mind. Just ignore him."
"That sounds exactly like his style," Jeremy noted. "Even though you're divorced now, he still feels the need to control you."
Felicia couldn't deny it. Max never knew what it meant to consider others. He always did whatever he pleased, entirely self-centered.
After the movie ended at eight thirty, the sky outside had just started to get dark. The shopping mall was quite crowded. Felicia decided to stop by a children's clothing store to buy a few changes of clothes for Anne, picking up a few outfits for Yara while she was at it. Jeremy offered some helpful advice.
As she was paying with her phone, Felicia saw a missed call from Max, as well as one from Anne. She called Anne back.

Take her back? Want to see her?? Donno about Felicia but I think I’m falling for this Max somehow🫠🙈pls update daily...
I knew it! Hopefully Felicia's health will improve and will want to have the baby. Oh how I despise Max's family....
Please post *I forgot I ever loved you*...
Is this coming to an end...
Oh nooo!! Don’t tell me Max will get washed ashore on a remote island then loses all his memory, then falls inlove with the local girl who saves him. Then when he meets Felicia again he won’t recognize her and breaks her heart again. Additional plot twist is that Felicia is pregnant with their 2nd child. Please pleaseee don’t give us this scenario.. LOL!!!...
If Max can be forgiven Darrin can be forgiven. And I do not like this marriage business but if it has to happen I hope after he gets stranded on some remote island alone while Felicia and his family fight over custody she wins and also gets half his estate. Then by time he comes back she's found having and remarried. Lol...
The writer is good. They're making me interested in Max. I won't say like yet....
It seems the only one who hasn't suffered is Max. Even his family fakes anger and disappointment all their own doing so they suffer a little. Everyone else has suffered. Luke and Jeremy unrequited. Felicia has suffered the most from family to unrequited to romance to long suffering Mother. Even baby Anne never had a mother til Felicia suffered then came back only to suffer some more. lol...
Oh no what did Colton do?... I have a bone to pick. When Olisha had to go the hospital why beg for Felicia? When she so loved Max? Seemed like she was in on the setup for Felicia to see a suicide for the 2nd time orchestrated by holden and his brother again. I might drop this series it's becoming endless with no real satisfaction for me. I don't need it to end because it's like a soap opera but if things don't end up making sense, tying up loose storylines it's gonna get old fast for me. Good luck author....
Anne, I think your baby brother is on the way. Thank goodness it doesn't say that Felicia is crying just like the last time but still, there's no willingness on her part. Max! You need to try harder. Make her fall in love with you again....
